Thanks to this, www.dailymail.co.uk... and subsequent series of similar online threats made to a female MP politicians are now calling for greater regulation of the Internet. All over something as trifling as whether or not the founder of trashy chick lit should appear on a banknote. Don't you idiots realise that you are giving the corrupt all the evidence they need to regulate the one medium where their corruption still stands a chance of being exposed.

It is infuriating to think that opportunistic criminal scum in Westminster/Washington will be rubbing their hand with glee at this. While claiming their motivations are to protect people from threats and abuse they can use this and other incidents like it to legitimately censor the last remaining bastion of free speech. The political filth are afraid of the Internet because they do not as yet have complete control over it, but if morons like the one in the link continue to behave in this way they soon will.

I don't worry too much about this sort of thing. If you take China as an example of internet censorship and control, you can clearly see they are fighting a losing battle over there. The internet is inherently ungovernable.

That is not to say we should allow trolls to go unpunished.

you failed to mention that they set up most of the false flags to begin with. They do the hagailian dialectic. They create the problems as step 1. Usually pretending someone else, some independant radical went and did it. Like: Boston marathon, like those kids that got shot at that school, like 911 and so on and so on.

Very likely true, but those that behave in the way mentioned in the article serve to help them achieve their aim
