Both countries have it's pros and cons

I would have to say Canada for myself it is less crowded , there are lots of jobs , our economy is still good .

We both suffer from corrupt governments
People are people anywhere you go .... there are donkey holes in every crowd .

ETA ... And what are your thoughts op you started a thread and didn't even give your own thoughts on it ..

I agree with you. Why not settle with dual-citizenship? It would be cool to be able to claim you're a citizen of both countries.

I love Canada's nature, less people, etc. Everything seems relaxed. Like you can fill your lungs with fresh air. I do have a lot of love for the good ol' USA. Humm? I cannot chose one or the other.

Build a house on the border and live in BOTH countries!

When I was a kid we lived in a border town. Every morning I waved to the people across the river in Canada.

Why is the greatest country in the world not on my list of choices?

The great Republic of Texas!

"Canada.. Living the American dream without the violence since 1867"

It's obvious which country is "better", but what country is better to live in is another question. Canada has more diversity (white, asian; chinese, japense, thai etc,hindu/punjab,native american, some black & of course french) which could make an argument for immigrants other then mexicans a better place to migrate too then America. Not to mention the universal health care, legal same sex marriage, low murder rate & you won't go to prison if they find an ounce of marijuana on you. America on the other hand has cheap booze & all the good sports team's

Canada:

Canada's taxes are INSANE.

The price of EVERYTHING is MUCH higher in Canada.

Theres nowhere in Canada thats warm all year around.

US:

The US is run by morally bankrupt scum bags who take pleasure in groveling at the feet of banksters, the "Federal Reserve" and the Military Industrial Complex.

Verdict:

The BOTH have plenty of SUCK to go around.

If any of my American friends are ever considering moving to Canada my only advice to you is stay the *%#@ out of Manitoba. The capitol, Winnipeg, is an absolute crime ridden, cesspool... as a matter of fact the entire province is a crime ridden dump. No health care, high taxes, crime, poor infrastructure, and the NDP - aka speNDP. This place SUCKS.

I see I kinds of boarders, it's an open prison. If you go off your house property you're in another jurisdiction. And then all the cameras at every intersection watch where you're going and track your ever move.

You're speaking my mind. One day all of humanity will be united as one!
I would love to make that happen.

America is the World divided into different states, different cities, different neighborhoods. No state is like the other, no city is like the other, no neighborhood is like the other. You like Asian culture but don't like Asia, move to Chinatown in Manhattan or San Francisco. You like Latin American culture but don't like Latin America, move to Miami, Los Angeles, or my Brooklyn neighborhood. You like the countryside and fields, you like the mountains and hunting, you like daylight and cold, you like comfortable warm weather, you like scorching deserts, you like 4 full seasons, you like big cities and flashy lights, you like calm suburban complex's, there's a state and city for each and every one of those.

I think the beautiful things about my country outweigh the negatives, for now at least.

One weird thing between Canada and the US is we really have no national pride or identity in Canada. I think cuz most people have such a distaste the g=v so bad that the flag and nationalism gets a bit tarnished as a result. Like how can you be proud of a socialist system that wants to oppress you? You can't.

Kelowna has the highest crime rate in the country right now.

I live in Vancouver and while it's fine for me people are still dying here and there.
