I missed the vote, but rumor has it that the house has passed to block aid to Egypt for military use. Next on the agenda is the NSA vote! I will provide more info but go watch now!

Update they have thrown Snowden into this! I think to protect him!

The nays have it on the NSA amendment... But a recorded vote was asked for. Which is typical.

But this comment on The Guardian live update link up above, caught my attention

The Amash-Conyers amendment is narrowly defeated, 205-217. Darn was that close. It seems the democrats were more in favor of this than the republicans.

I agree with what Greenwald said in that feed, that it was a powerful coalition of Right Wing and Left Wing (Center Right and Center Left) Civil Libertarians, that nearly brought a powerful NSA program down. It's a bitter defeat however, it may still be a good sign.

Well at least Egypt's Military aid was blocked. Little steps, ya know...

If I find my rep voted against the NSA amendment, he will be hearing from me, that is for certain.
