Political Machinations of the fourth branch of Government

When a James Bond villain comes up with a plan to destroy the world, he doesn’t use a simple plan. No, he uses a machination — a complex plot that relies on numerous elements coming together to work.

Politicians love a good machination, and their machinations are frequently exposed in the press as scandals.

I do wish that Romney had won in 2012 as astounding as that is, hell at least with his election the press would be so busy trying to pin Benghazi,IRS,AP Spying, Syria,NSA spying, the Care Act spying, and the new Consumer Protection Agencies new data collection endeavors.and drone attacks in other countries on him, and would be the premiere topic in the 'main stream' media, and this country would never have heard of Sanford,Florida.

It is simply astounding how none of all those 'scandals' ever came out during the last presidential election, and they have all been kicked to the back burner, or thrown out with the bath water since the press wants to talk everything but.

The machination here is the manipulation of the facts to prevent the current administration being seen in a bad light, and manipulate people, by continually being agent provocateurs for the ' I didn't do it' administration.

Also amazing how many people willingly let themselves be used as we have seen in current events by the current never never land and of what people call mass media.

Have to admit the agent provocateurs are doing an awesome job for the current administration that gives them a 'hall pass' to trample on the constitution further.

The most dangerous 'special interest' in this country is what I believe the mass media able to turn zeros to hero's in one instance then turn around, and turn hero's to zeros in the next instance.

The Fourth branch of government meant to be another check and balance of the government has become a corrupt soul less shell of itself,perhaps it has always been that way, and people including myself have always had an over romanticized view of government, and the media including Americans themselves will never look in to the mirror, and will never admit they are at fault for anything.

Honestly our media, and our government are that mirror, they are reflections of ourselves, because they are us.

First step in self recovery is to admitting just who and where the problems lays.

Imo that is You, and Me.

You might be confusing the Fourth Estate (outright purchased by Morgan for the
Rothchilds near 1900) with the "Headless Fourth Branch" of government..
the administrative state. I think the machinations are and always were based in
proto-fascism.
The non governmental organizations that draft the legislation don't answer to anyone
but their owners, not the people. This is why bills get ram rodded through the House
and Senate sometimes without the pups ever seeing the stuff, they're irrelevant now.
It's for example the reason nobody on The hill is doing anything about Monsanto---
they OWN the FDA... and a sizeable portion of the gift certificates for the puppets.
Ain't corruption grand? I'll take my fifty in fifties please LOL.
