Facebook is Responsible for the “Fall of Humanity”

The “Fall of Humanity” basically means humanity is getting further away from God. I feel like the problem isn’t that people are judging news stories or pictures on Facebook, but each other and each others’ lives and my God does the judging. Facebook is a little mortal judgement machine and it is encouraging sin. Believe me?

Now I will list the sins Facebook is encouraging. Let's start with envy. Ok, we don't need to go any farther because that is bad enough. People that are successful in life and post that on Facebook, others envy like crazy. It causes unneeded suffering.

Pride, the worst one. People are more concerned with their Facebook profiles than that actual real lives.

Gluttony, people are driven by desires on Facebook and are gluttons for Facebook itself.

Lust for sex and stuff is an obvious one. Facebook is all over that.

Anger, Facebook creates conflicts and keeps people in a virtual high school and in some cases college too -- not healthy. Plus we have cyber bullying in addition to that.

Greed, how are those billions Mark? Plus, keeping up with the Joneses has taken on new dimensions on Facebook and that is unhealthy. People are competing to see who has more stuff, bigger houses, nicer cars. Bad.

Sloth, people sit around on Facebook all day.

Well Facebook seems to have been encouraging all the Seven Deadly Sins so in conclusion, I am going to have to agree with the female Angel that told this to me: “Facebook is responsible for the Fall of Humanity”.

Indeed; I agree.

There are plenty of things that you can attribute to the Seven Deadly Sins. Not to mention some of the things you described are a stretch such as envy and greed. With the widespread use of smart phones one could even argue that your use of sloth is a stretch as well since you can get on Facebook anywhere.

Actually, all I can fault Facebook for is that it is a cesspool of self-serving stupidity, kind of like a mainstream 4chan. Also what female angel? You are in contact with otherworldly beings? Why mention this as an afterthought at the end of the post like its just some everyday thing?

Some of us don't believe in your god. Facebook is just a natural progression of internet culture, get used to it.

Facebook will fall... it will be part of "remember the time we use to "Like" each other".... while they discuss the issue on another virtual brain leech.

Sounds to me like that's the only way humanity will ever rise..

facebook, my space, big brother, survivor, the bachelor, the bachelorette, all of the housewives shows , the bad girls club, the next top model, bridezilla, the diva show, all of the kardashians shows, honey boo boo, and way to many to continue to mention.

all of these show the self centeredness of people, and the joy that some seem to find in watching and reading it.
kinda like soap operas,never understood it, never will.

Why blame Facebook? . When you get down to it blame people. Most people have gotten away from religion because they see no point. Why is that Facebook's fault? People really need to throw out all the garbage that we have been told about religion and think for themselves.

It's not a matter of belief... it's about viewpoint then belief.

History shows many rises and falls long before the gods of Abraham ever came into play. The human condition is not so much guided by faith in deity as it is challenged to improve itself. That we are imperfect creatures, we know that there is no perfection we can reach... even the most devout atheist will (usually) agree here.

Greed and lust and other things that lead us astray do not need gods because they are human traits that transcend religion and science. Like any temptation... we either win or lose, gain experience and the lesson from the fall... or not.

I do believe there is a higher authority. Many millennia past, such may have been called god, or gods or angels. Today, we may call them aliens... but the name has no real meaning. It all balances on another one or two of those shortcomings. Things like pride and arrogance, to assume one so doggone smart that the vast universe around us... as well as our own little piece of it, is ours already.

From that point, you can be religious or scientific or atheist or agnostic and still someday find yourself waking up just as you fall asleep.

Jealousy = suffering?! wtf

I dont think its facebooks fault what so ever people are moving from religion nor being made into worse humans for it.

People that are connected can do far more than those are not and being better connected means important issues can be debated on a more public forum type level.

Really? Some would call that crazy. In any case what is her name? What makes you believe that she is an angel? Did she tell you as such? Why is she trustworthy enough to believe what she is?

You are making a sweeping generalization about 1.11 billion different people, of all age groups around the world. You have to realize that every single person's FB experience is a totally unique one, based on the personalities and posting habits of the friends they have chosen. Your description may fit your experience, but it does not fit mine. If you are unhappy with what you see on your news feed, maybe you should be more selective about what friends you choose to view there.

"The Cabal" means Satan I was just told. Facebook works for Satan. They tell me stuff and often I have to look it up if it is a new word, or sometimes they clarify for me like just now.
