As soon as another country does literally exactly what we do, the people freak out because it's 'not normal' and there's a more sinister motive at play.

Where Russia and China are diversifying their holdings in the ROTW.

First rule of capitalism never put all your eggs in one basket, a lesson the West still hasn't gotten and has gone off the deep in with that bridge too far via globalism.

Let's be 'perfectly clear' another country we owe trillons to, has stole trillions in technology. with growing abmitions that one day are going to be a 'culture' shock to the west.

As with their rise wealth and jobs are lost from the west transferred there, with dwindling resources that is going to create future conflicts, that sooner of later is going to go hot.

That's not hypocrisy that is stating future events.

I'm not sure if you mean 'no more years' on aggressive posturing around the world, but if so, I agree on that?

My personal feelings are that the U.S. badly needs to come back within it's own borders, for the most part, and focus on our own house and our own problems for at least 10-15 years. We can get back to helping others (maybe) when it's not actually to our own immediate harm to do so in a self sustaining spiral to the bottom.

At the same time...coming back within our own borders means maintaining defensive ability...but it's that balance that our side lost entirely. Defensive became ability to fight multiple wars....which evolved before our very eyes into actually CHOOSING to fight multiple wars at once.

I agree with the general premise that the US needs and should do more in it's own borders but I don't believe the Doom Porn about a USs spiral. That plays well to some here but for the rest of us it's just par for the course.


Fighting two wars or a two front war? The US/West had no business in Iraq other than toppling our old Cold War puppet Saddam. The former Soviets [Russia] and Red China [China inc] should now deal with their own old Cold War bastard leftover....North Korea.

I think that's the side of China that borrowed from our 'evil capitalist ways'. As Hong Kong shows, China can find great benefit in some aspects of our culture. Let China confirm something of real value for mineral or other resource wealth in the mountains of North Korea and I'd say Kim will be falling before he realizes his chair got pulled out by his own 'friends'. lol...

yes nato has some fantastic toys but the question is HOW many?
China has a million strong army with in 24 hours
Russias army isnt as strong as it used to be but wouldnt doubt it for a moment
Even North Korea has its hole nation ready to roll out (all they have to say is there is food over the border)
Yes US house deff needs renovation on the inside (well over due) but there is No man of the house to do the job as the guy they have in place is just a shadow and has no real intent to seal his own cracks

The 2 worlds largest countries, largest milltaries, most wealth consolidated in to one place.

Both are building up their military,modernizing,building ships,nukes, foreign influence in to Africa, and the ME.

What is the US doing?

Gutting it's military,gutting its nuclear arsenal. and has a bad case of 'hope and change' and alienating 'allies'.

And there we all are caught between a rock and a hard case.

Russia conducts regular miltary exercises with NATO and the US. So what? The US is so completely dominate is does not matter if we cut military spending in half. And we have expanded our influence in Africa a great deal in the last 20 years, People here complain about it all the time.

Exactly it could cut its budget by half and still have nearly 4x the budget of it next nearsest adversary.

That money could be dumped in the space program. That money could be spent on getting a infrastructure set up for space minning, The first country that taps the resouces of the solar system wins the world. Not to mention it would solve most our resources problem for a long long time. But hey who needs to look into the future when you have enough nukes to destroy the world
