I do, and I'm not ashamed of my body. I don't believe the Lord ever intended us to be ashamed of what he gave us!

In a Nation of over 1/4 Billion people? Every form of complete idiocy will be represented to some %. Fortunately, these 'Pastors' are about as representative of Christians as that Imam on Saudi who keeps saying Rape is perfectly fine and acceptable for fighter in Syria. Every faith has loons....these make the example, no doubt.

Hey - I grew up in the kinds of churches that preached this... If not every service, every other service. Large "denomination". When I was "grown", I left that fold for a more "progressive" bunch...and, while they were a melting-pot from all denominations...they preached and taught this...as well.
Sadly - it is not as "fringe" as you might want to think. And - sadly - they're no more than one hiccup from joining in with Westboro Baptist...to be "on the front lines" of God's war against unholiness.
My family got the evil eye once, when my sister was seen by other members of the congregation, wearing a "pant suit". My father would not allow that to happen again (burned the pant suit).
I agree that it is fringe...to common decency...but it continues to thrive in pockets from coast to coast.

You have enough posts to know that 3 new threads attacking faith/God is normal around here.

Do you remember the BTS days?

Hey Not. You know the right answer. The earth gaia whatever has to heal itself.

I grew up in the country. Every 5 years or so we'd burn the dead out of the grass and it would return very healthy. They would have controlled burns in state parks to accomplish the same thing in wooded areas.

Yes, but the question remains-
Do I wear anything else besides the pants and hat?
I will never tell!

Wrabbit there are "reasonable" Christians, but they are the minority.

You can keep saying they aren't and ill keep saying they are, good luck. In the end everyone will know I was right.. and that you were wrong.

Hardly, what these pastors stated would be rejected by the vast majority of Christians.

And anyone who passed 5th grade Earth Science class.

A Pastor is nothing but a scoundrel, a self appointed speaker of Rhetoric.

These people are neither qualified nor given the know-how to judge anyone. They need to look among their ranks to see if they can spot potential child molesters and really understand what it means to act as a communicator with "god".

Just because god (in the original/old testament) was a tyrannical monster who forced people to obey him at all costs does not mean a pastor should act in the same manner. In fact showing mercy and love is what the new testament is all about.

Be it that its a work of grand delusional fiction I mean.

Agreed. Sunday's masses are a great place to catch a glimpse of them. I't like shooting fish in a barrel

I take it with a grain of salt when these idiots speak, these are the
same religious types that fought tooth and nail to maintain segregation
of both African Americans and women, its no surprise to me that they
are still up to the same useless tricks, they need something to hate
so they can feel pure and elevated above the rest, after all that's what
they are saying pretty much, "we don't do these things so we are pure,
just emulate us and you can have this ever lasting reward...."

Honestly its just flat out bribery but the worst part is that they cannot
even deliver on their promise here, even if every single human in
the united states converted this second to Christianity, the storms
would keep coming, then who would we blame, or is that when
we would start executing different denomination for bringing this
despair on us, like they did with those of Jewish faith during the
black plague? Christians back then thought the plague was because
they allowed the Jews to practice their faith so they tried to right
that by murdering untold numbers of them...... i thank my lucky
stars that i am at least alive in a time when their psycho acts are
at least seen for what they are and they cannot just start killing
people outright.

Sounds like an excuse just to blame women for all the problems in the world.

Precisely! And some say there's not a "war on women" by the religious/political right!

Here, Ohio governor, John Kasich, flanked by six men, signs stringent abortion restrictions into law:

“I could see how you could conclude that there were no women involved in the final part of the budget process, because there weren’t,” Kasler tells Whispers. The six men standing behind Kasich include the four Republicans on the six-member Ohio budget conference committee, the state budget director and the Senate president.

I guess women should just take off their shoes, get into the kitchen and get started making those pot pies!

Actually, most of us are fairly reasonable. Ofcourse there are some demented people who think theyre christians that would do or say outrageous things, buuuut that can't be helped. We're told not to uproot the bad plants.
