This day

This day of old is something new

Give a laugh through and through

We think happiness around the way

As a heart shatters by the bay

The past is the past, the future serves now

Don't look down, look up somehow

No one can lift you on their own

Strength will follow, the mind is shown

Believe in yourself if you will

Take a look around and just be still

These times come and go, don't worry your heart

Time will only tell how things shall start

Thanks friend. I really don't remember writing it, but I was looking back in my journal and it says I wrote it in march, so not too long ago but yeah. I thought I'd share it

Thanks I would critique this poem for sure. I thought it was good, but I keep reading it over and overland I just don't know. I was told I need to be more descriptive, but I like simple to the point I guess.

Nice job Nat! It seems to me there are so many different ways to communicate that there is no one size fits all. Sometimes short succinct writing really communicates powerfully. Other times full descriptive lines work best. I believe writing what your gut tells you is a way of insuring what you are writing is you. Good job and keep it up. I enjoy reading you work. I dont get privaleged to talk to ladies much, maybe its your perfume lol jk, direct is ok and there really isnt many rules I would guess I mean no one tells me what to do and I get away with it keep it up lady
