Tornado Touches Down in Northern Australia

The Northwest of Australia has been getting some unseasonal weather the last few weeks, this time of the year is called the dry, due to there being little to no rainfall through the winter months. Yesturday, Port Hedland copped 140mm in a 24hr period.

It may have also been visited by a tornado according to local residents, one of which snapped this picture:



The bureau of meteorology are investigating.

there used to be an australian weatherman on this site. havent seen him in a spell.
Crikey, that some scary stuff. can you imagine all the koalas and beer cans being blown around everywhere?
