HE SAID TRAYVON REACHED FOR HIS GUN I NEVER HEARD HIM SAY TRAYVON GOT A HOLD OF THE GUN AND HE WRESTLED IT AWAY FROM HIM. EITHER WAY IF THEY FIND ZIMS PRINTS AND NOT TRAYS, HOUSTON ZIM HAS A PROBLEM.

If someone slammed your head into the concrete...you're gonna be a little delusional. Believe that as fact. If they did it several times....with force, you're gonna have quite a head-ache, after they crack your skull. You're NOT going to have those types of cuts on the back of your head. Your head would look deformed from the impact and the swelling that would incur. Get me past that point, and i'll believe it was "self defense". Heck, get me past the point of George getting to his gun, if Trayvon's thighs were pressed up against Zimmermans waste, and i'll believe the story.

I believe MORE that Zimmerman was on top of Martin, shot him, rolled him over and spread his arms apart. Then, played like the victim, asking for "help"; than i do anything else. Nothing Zimmerman said, in his re-enactment video makes sense.

Which statement said they wrestled for it? Are you talking about his friend’s book?

OK I pretty much agree with what you said. One thing to keep in mind is these are all witnesses for the prosecution I will bet before this trial is over that the defense will have an expert who disagrees with her.

Correct. I said the same thing a few pages back. This is the prosecutions case and we do not know what the defense will present yet. What they present will also play a large part of weather or not to put Zimmerman on the stand. In all actuality, that decision will be a huge strategic decision. If he does not testify, he may be able to use it for grounds for appeal (if convicted) but he would have to throw his attorneys under the bus to pull it off.

Considering how many of the prosecution’s witnesses have almost seemed to be for the defense I don’t think the state is doing a very good job of proving their case.

Sometimes things are not always as they seem. A lot of what the prosecution has done has actually been very subtle up until today. I don't think many people will truly understand just what dots they have connected until they do their closing arguments. However it is clear to me that they have done a poor job of proving a charge of Murder 2, but if this jury is permitted to convict on a lesser charge, the prosecution has done a solid job of potentially showing a case for manslaughter. We'll have to wait and see what the jury instructions are.

There is no guarantee DNA would be transferred or stay on it. Even if TM DNA is there, the prosecution could say it got there by him trying to push the gun away so he didn't get shot. I don't see this as a big point that makes or breaks.

Then you also do not believe the states witness who stated that Martin was on top attacking George.

Oh I forgot you arn't watching the trial…nevermind.

Not the book, it is the actual testimony from Zimmerman's best friend. He claims Zimmerman said this to him, and then he put it in his book.

They can discredit him though and the defense did a good job of calling him into question. He had to admit that the statements he put in his book and the statements he made in court are from memory, from one single conversation, and they never spoke of it again.

That isn’t really a problem. That isn’t a statement from George it comes from his friend who says he heard it from George. That isn’t exactly damning evidence for the trial.

The actual statements to the police will be weighed much higher.

Edit

MrWendal beat me to it. so what he said.

When Natasha Richardson hit her head skiing her skull was not caved in yet she died a few hours later, she also claimed she felt fine.

Zimmerman is lucky to be alive. Why he is being charged with 2nd degree murder is waste of many Florida tax payers money.

Looks as if we no longer have the right to protect ourselves and criminals once again get the upper hand.

He is lucky to be alive. He's lucky that he didn't try it on with a real violent criminal, one who could give him a proper beating, rather than an imaginary or falsified one, otherwise he'd have been left in a heap, minus his gun, wallet, car keys and vehicle.

Why do i need to watch the trial...when i heard with my own ears, from the defendant, what happened? IMO, he's the only testimony that matters and his story is FULL OF HOLES. Now, i understand that he has a right to a fair trial and people are doing their jobs, based on our system.. But, as we all know, our system is seriously flawed and corrupt. If they want George to walk, he'll walk because the Prosecution, Defense Team, and Judge are all on the same team.

OJ's case proved you can beat the system with enough money. I wonder what this case will prove. My guess? It will REDEFINE what "self defense" is!

I can just see it now, people getting shot over fist fights, claiming it was "self defense". America is soooooo lost!

Enough with the Zim wasn't being attacked by TM. The ME for the state admitted that his head was being hit on the ground. Like I said before it was his head if your head is being attacked you do WHATEVER you can to defend yourself even if after the fact your injuries may come out as "minor" the human body is very resilient but we hear about tiny bumps on the head killing. Billy mays anyone.

Why do i need to watch the trial...

- Because this thread is .... 'The Zimmerman Trial' ... so that's what is being discussed.
- Because all the facts, instead of media spin, are coming out at the trial.

OJ beat the rap for the same reasons Casey Anthony did....the prosecution ROYALLY messed up.

Interesting thing with OJ. He didn't kill Nicole (though he did pay the guy who did). He didn't hire him to kill her, but to steal something (though he didn't care if she died in the process). There's actually a serial killer who was doing work on Nicole's house. He's the one who did the deed...no doubt in my mind anyhow.

Zimmerman is going to get off because even though he started it by following the kid, in the state of FL, if you believe you are in mortal danger (slamming your head against the concrete certainly qualifies), you can shoot to defend yourself. Simple as that. May not be morally correct, but the law is the law.

What you are really thanking us for is the 10,000 point back account you've gotten from this thread so it'll cover a bunch of 'off topic' warnings for the future so you won't go into negative numbers. Right?

Im for Zimmerman but if laws are not moral or ethical then whats the point. Just catching what you said about law. There are some bad laws out there this is not one of them.
