He was a victim of assault and battery, as evidenced by the one sided damage.

Mannequin Becomes Key Witness In Zimmerman Trial
Excellent article. I especially liked how they said that the defense 'flipped' the mannequin from being the prosecution witness to being a defense witness. The defense has been 'flipping' witness' this whole time.

That dummy was probably the best witness for either side in this entire trial. At least he admitted (by not saying anything) that he (or is it she?) didn't have any idea what happened that night.

just got the live feed working who is this lady called by defense? she a resident of the complex zimmerman lived in?

ah genius goes to state about the criminal activity in georges neighborhood, note the dispacher TOLD her to arm her self i feel from what ive seen so far this witness will be important to the defence in proving george had a rational belief that travon could have been a burgler with all the previous breakins

A neighbor who had suffered through a home invasion.

She testified that two black males broke into her home when she and her infant son were home.
She said they looked young. They stole items from her home. One was caught. One was not.
She had discussions with ZImmerman about where this thief lived ....

What was the point of that?

oliva seems pretty calm, any one see george taking notes? i have not seen him take many notes so far in the trial im not quite sure where the prosecution was going with the early questions to her before jury was let back in but i think this will be an important witness for defense

The defense may paint a picture of TM as a burglar - lets see if they bring more witness like this.

The other thief that wasn't caught .... I think she was saying that he lived in the same complex and she told Zimmerman where. (I THINK). The defense brought her in to show that there were indeed home invasions by teen age black youths.

Maybe, I thought it was to establish there was a good reason to be a vigilant watchman in the neighborhood myself.

I meant what is the point of asking those questions when the jury can't even hear it?

Exactly, she's in effect forcing him to indirectly testify - to imply he is afraid to testify or has something to hide. Very "prejudicial" stuff - IMH(f)O.

EDIT: Note, I assume this was done in front of the Jury. If not, then maybe not as big a deal.

I think the jury was out. given defendants are rarely legal trained, I would have thought allowing help from his lawyer would be reasonable.Did she really need to know at that point? Intimidation, maybe so.

No. I'm sure the prosecution would want people to think that.
Both Zimmerman and this woman knew that the thief lived in their complex.
The police confirmed this. (IF I'm following what she said)

Defense calls Robert Zimmerman Sr. The dad.
I'm surprised they are calling all these people. They already have the case wrapped up IMHO.

Yep, sure was. Curious that. Did he wipe the blood on his flashlight off there, after hitting himself on the back of the head with it, I wonder? Funny how George's own prints were on neither his flashlight or his gun? That pesky dna affecting rain, eh?

edit on 10-7-2013 by IvanAstikov because: (no reason given)

Neither was the police officer's prints on the gun even though GZ handed it to him. Must be the police wiping down the evidence, no?

Grasping at straws or trolling, what is it?
