Progressive News Host, Cenk Uguyar of Current TV : Barack Obama is a LIAR

I understand his (and others') frustration over these scandals but come on, its not like you guys weren't warned....And he's not the only progressive/liberal to do a complete 180 on Obama.

Too little too late though...huh?

How many scandals does it take until this administration is held accountable? I am absolutely amazed at the level of corruption in which Obama and his minions are involved. This President is a criminal and needs to be impeached and removed from office.

I thought we couldn't get worse than Bush. Even Obama's staunch supporters are turning against him.

It's so sad how we elect these people into office and a majority of them "turn to the dark side."

Power corrupts most people...division takes care of the rest. Classic recipe for corruption.

Limit the U.S. federal government to Protecting our Borders, Providing Natural Disaster Relief, and DEFENDING THE CONSTITUTION OF THE U.S.

And an OVERSIGHT Committee for the government consisting of 33 average citizens...like a jury.

Cenk has been critical of Obama nearly since day one. I don't know that I'd classify him as set in any ideology. I would classify him as one of the rarest creatures on earth, a journalist, however.

Tell me something ..why don't Obama haters just make one thread? It is after all the same people who chime in and pretty much say the exact same thing..no matter the scenario Obama is in. All I ever see is the old dribble been said over and over..only difference...TITLES...

I'm no liberal, but I like Cenk Uygur. He's a smart, honest guy who's not afraid to call out Obama on a lie or a broken promise.

It's hard to believe Uygur used to be a Republican! But on the other hand it's hard to believe Alex Jones is half French, so there you go.

I hear this a lot. I don't claim to be well-educated in those things either, so I've always meant to ask someone this question: How do you classify him? Or do you?

Obama is centre-right.

In various ways he reminds me of LBJ (centre-right) and George Bush Sr (right-wing). Strong capitalist, strong on defence, strong on the military, strong on egalitarianism, boldly proactive in world affairs, with a deep respect for the social contract.

When I look back at all the hysterical predictions about Obama at the start of his first term, I just shake my head and laugh.

People predicted he would ban and confiscate guns. He didn't. People predicted he would ban religion (or at least Christianity). He didn't.

People predicted he would turn the USA into a socialist/Marxist/communist state. He didn't. People predicted he would overturn the Constitution and install himself as a permanent dictator. He didn't.

People predicted he would destroy the banks. He didn't. People predicted he would destroy the US economy. He didn't. People predicted he would destroy capitalism. He didn't. People predicted civil war. Didn't happen.

The list goes on and on...

Gibberish? You apparently missed the screen shot of the Communist Party webpage declaring their support of Obama, among other things. And that was just one page exposing his connections. And there are 22 citations on the page too.

He is a capitalist. Look at how he's done business, nothing has been reformed, the bailouts have continued, etc. I mean, when you compare his actions with that of Bush and disregard his political leanings and other bias-inducing traits, you see that he's simply a continuation of the same policies. Nothing has changed in terms of foreign or domestic policy.

The only reasoning I see behind calling him a socialist is his healthcare overhaul, which is two things. First, awful. Second, a continuation of the old system, only this time forcing everybody to purchase insurance. It's not socialist, it's more of a tyrannical money grab. In a socialist system, insurance would be abolished, healthcare would be provided free of charge. Your money, in the form of taxes, would go to the government as opposed to insurance companies. It would essentially be a government monopoly on healthcare. Obama's healthcare system forces you to pay insurance companies, but gives you choice, allowing for competition and varying quality of care.
