Wearing a Nazi uniform doesn't make you a Nazi any more than wearing a burqua makes you a Muslim or a cross makes you a Christian or a bikini makes you a swimsuit model.

Sure he's an idiot, most of us are at times, more so here on ATS.

(bet the mods can't handle to joke...they need something other than lemon juice for breakfast) (bet they can't handle that joke either)

Holy crap is this story for real? Not only is this loon wearing a Nazi uniform in public while standing before a judge but great Odin's beard did you read what he named his children?!

Keep this man away from his children because he is most likely teaching them HATE. This man is more than just the idiot many posters are calling him, he's clearly a man who upholds twisted Nazi views!

How many other people teach there children hate?? I bet alot. So, just because you "think" someone is teaching hate, call the CPS, have a Families Lives be destroyed and move on with your own life. But, what if your neighbor thinks your doing the same thing and they call CPS and your kids are taken away because someone doesn't think your treating your kids right.

This is a vicious cycle which is not good for anyone. Here are some links just for reference:

I have more if interested.

This Guy, no matter his beliefs, has a RIGHT in this Country to raise his kids as he pleases. You may not believe in his ways but he may not believe in yours either.

It's true that the swastika has been used by cultures that predated the National Socialists by many centuries, however, the most enduring image of the swastika is it's use on Nazi party flags, banners and uniforms.

Didn't bring Hitler good fortune either. Too bad the skinheads and supremacists that flaunt that symbol don't disappear like everyone else who used that symbol.

I am curious. If he had worn a dress and demanded to be called Nancy, would you think his kids should be taken away?

Do I personally think this dude is far from the shiniest apple on the tree? You bet.

Fortunately for him we live in America, a country that protects expression of free speech and political beliefs. As long as his swinging fist doesn't connect with anyone's nose he can march around dressed as the Easter Bunny and name all his kids whatever the hell he wants to.

It's clear his kids were removed based on nothing more than his political and free speech expression. He's actually smart to insist on appearing in court in full first amendment expressing regalia as what's being set here is a precedent. If he loses this case then DPS can go after other Neo Nazi kids based on nothing more than the expression of those beliefs by the parents.

Unfortunately, the larger issue here is who defines when a person's political / philosophical beliefs become so out of step w/ the norm that they are a danger to children. Where does it stop? Do we start going after the children of Tea Party members next?

Some may find that funny but that's exactly why America was founded w/ those protections in place. Otherwise the political party currently in the majority could declare the beliefs of the opposition as being "bad" and persecute them. That same protection that keeps Democrats and Republicans from grabbing each other's kids also protects the fringe extreme like this loon.

DPS is clearly persecuting this dude based on his protected expression of 1st amendment rights, he's actually correct to make that the center of his defense, even if that means showing up in full SS costume in front of the Jewish Judge. Unfortunately the courts in this country as of late have shown a tendency not to follow the letter or spirit of our constitution so this issue will probably end up in a higher court if not the Supreme Court.

Nazi dude will probably win his case but his kids will be adults by then...

It really has nothing to do with his uniform. That will make it worse, however he will lose his child in a court of law.......simply because he is a man! Women are favored by the courts and the law and no man has a chance. his is Feminism at it's best. It is to take the strong link (or men) out of the equation, so the government can march in and take over with no fight. Feminism is here to destroy men, they are using women...our Achilles heel....to destroy men. This is why no man EVER wins in court, even if the mother is less fit. It is affirmative action and it is the obsoleting of men. The women have an ace card up their sleeve and it is called the government. Do what you will as a man, and you will lose! they will tell you it's a man's world, however go to court, especially with a child ...you will then know whose world it really is. Feminism is a tool of the Government to weaken strong men, so they can take our country from us with no battle. Women won't fight them, they know this....in fact women will welcome them because they spoon fed them power over men. The uniform is this man's rebellion of how he is being treated by the courts and our government. I don't care about Hitler, but screw our government and screw the women who use our system against men for their own personal gain. You would be nothing without that big Government entity behind you!

This just proves even more that some people just should NOT be able to be parents.

A good parent? Hardly!

Does he know what kind of a life he has set for his kids with those names? Those kids are going to be teased, harassed on many levels, bullied, beat up, etc. and he has the gall to say he's a good parent?

There is a section in everyone's life reserved for their own political beliefs, but when he forces his political beliefs onto his kids, that crosses the line in many ways! Just by naming his kids like that is teaching them many horrible values as it is!

Sometime over the next few years, we'll read in the news that something tragic happened to this family because of the antics of this guy. But, you know, he's a good parent and he's trying to prove it. Something tells me he's going to make da Fuhrer proud.

This guy has just made the "What the...?" list for the week.

Yes, he clearly had just the best intentions for his kids to choose such well-known and original names, which will make their lives easy-peasy and happy all along, be it in school or later on at work.

Oh wait, maybe he is a "redneck", so his kids would be homeschooled and later on work deep in the woods, where other "rednecks" would find those names funny..

--Scary--, if you are interested in my opinion.

I have to wonder if someone who wore a USSR military uniform and named their children Stalin, Marx, Lenin, etc would be vilified more, or less. And before anyone suggests it I am not a Nazi anti-Semite, its just that communist atrocities tend to be soft peddled in the west today.

Why must the children invariably end up paying the price for being born to uncaring, ignorant, impoverished, abusive, or fanatical parents. In this case, the father is clearly a nut case who will go on to teach his kids to hate.

What's the judge to do? It's really a no-win situation. Allow the father custody and fear the children will grow up with the same attitudes, perhaps taken to a more dangerous level..............or place them in a foster home where the caretakers do it for money and not because they really care for the children--perhaps unwittingly placing them in harm's way. There are some pretty rotten foster parents to be sure. What a terrible dilemma.

It would be bad enough if this were but an isolated case, but millions upon millions of youngsters the world over are abused, neglected, abandoned, and worse. I try to put this fact out of my mind as much as possible because when it comes to the fore, I become viscerally ill. Wherever IS the justice? Why are some of us so lucky while others simply never get a break. So sad.

Sure, the guy is an idiot, but last I checked, that was not against the law. Of course, his choice of court attire is not exactly bright....or is it? From the attention, he just may get something out of this whole deal.

If he was wearing a dress and demanded to be called Nancy, while making threats, preaching hatred, abusing his wife and family, using his children to make offensive political statements and get headlines, then YES.
