It would be interesting to see what these numbers would look like had this poll been conducted before the "war on terror" began.

Of course, this is not the only factor. There are other Muslims who may turn radical once being in the country itself. Said Muslims may also be home born too.

I get the impression that many second generation Muslims, for whatever reason, are more radical than their parents.

It seems to me that a lot of the parents, or elderly Muslims are fine, but there is always a small population who slip through the nets so to speak. A lot of the younger ones tend to me manipulated more easily, and may drift off into radical teachings rather than the teachings they are meant to be learning if you know what i mean.
The Pew report in 2006
81% of British Muslims thought of themselves as Muslims first and British second.
Only 7% thought of themselves as British first.

66% of German Muslims thought of themselves as Muslims first and German second.

I think a lot has to do with who funds the Mosques and Madrassah schools in the UK. I believe there is a large Saudi influence, that is preaching a fundamentalist approach to Islam.
There also seems to be an attempt by the more extreme elements to prey on vulnerable young Brits.
Safa writes that the Saudis have spent “$87 billion since 1973 to spread Islam throughout the United States and the Western hemisphere.”
Elsewhere in the world, it is believed that Saudi Arabia finances some 85-percent of the world’s mosques, where the vitriolic and violent Wahabbist interpretation of Islam is taught.

Since the 1979 Iranian revolution and the downfall of the US Puppet Ruler the Shah, Iran has been an Islamic state. In that interval of time, 1979 to the present, Iran has not invaded anyone. Not once.
“Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled and incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of [other] countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world.
But those who study Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world…. Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war.
Those [who say this] are witless.
Islam says, kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! ...Whatever good there is, exists thanks to the sword, and in the shadow of the sword!
People cannot be made obedient, except with the sword!
The sword is the key to Paradise, which can be opened only for Holy Warriors!
...Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.”
Ayatollah Khomeini (1902-1989) Iran’s Supreme Leader from 1979 to 1989—the highest ranking political and religious authority of the nation.

I think a more or equally pertinent question nay be why are so many right-wing extremists using ATS as a platform to pollute minds and air their propaganda?
This is something that I find a worrying trend. In my short time on ATS I've noticed some truly troubling and poisonous posts and threads, masquerading as questions and intersting debates.
Folks like the OP with a obvious agenda are freely allowed to post propaganda and incite hatred time after time after time.
There are tons of websites out there where these views are accepted and encouraged and nurtured so i'm not sure why ATS, a conspiracy and alternative topics forum has been selected by right-wing extremists as a target for their filth?
It makes no sense?
I'm sure, looking through the OPs posting history, that he is obviously a member (or leader) of some group like stormfront or the EDL or BNP and if not, they certainly subscribe to these fringe beliefs and principles.
As there is no free speech on ATS, I cannot fathom why it is allowed and tolerated.
Not just the OP but the dozen or so like them who are polluting this site with their hatred of Muslims.edit on 26-5-2013 by stargatetravels because: (no reason given)edit on 26-5-2013 by stargatetravels because: (no reason given)
