It goes deeper and deeper. Seems William Wilkins, at the time working as a lawyer, did work to defend a church of which Obama has been a member for more than 20 years. and this time, it is Obama that made the mistake in a speech. Not only did he defend the church, they did it pro-bono...a favor.

The IRS initiated an investigation early this year after a speech by Obama at a 50th anniversary celebration of the church last June. It was a reference by Obama to his presidential candidacy in a talk otherwise focused on faith that caught the agency's attention. Tax laws prohibit non-profits--including churches--from engaging in political speech or promoting candidates. The IRS can withdraw an organization's tax-free status if the organization is found to violate the rule

Was this a pat on the back for helping an old friend? They even state it would have caught the attention of the IRS...

Lowe wrote that Wilkins and other firm lawyers worked with the church’s national counsel, Donald Clark, and proved they had invited Obama to the event before he announced his candidacy for president. “Evidence presented in a letter sent to the IRS in late March pointed to ground rules the organization had established for Obama's visit; the church even cautioned churchgoers against engaging in any political activity,” Lowe wrote. “Had the IRS pursued the matter, it would have raised serious questions about the First Amendment's application to church activities, Wilkins says.”

How far will this go and how long can they keep this up?

So Hope and Change fizzle out as Quid Pro Quo....

Each day seems to bring more breaks in the (now) four headed Hydra of the Obama Years. Today's revelation--tomorrow lets roll the dice and bet on EPAGate (which is beginning to look like it does mesh w/the IRS--get an audit? Get an EPA site review!); APGate (now with Fox News' James Rosen being "tracked" by DOJ via ID badge a long with PERSONAL cell phone and email records (wonder if Rosen was audited?); and of course, the granddaddy of Scandalpalooza--Benghazi (maybe someone should see if the outspoken Smith and Woods families have been audited?)

Beyond ugly. Our Country cannot survive the three years of tyranny this Administration is bringing. Any statesmen (or women?) in power in DC ready to take that walk to the White House, and like in Nixon's day "for the good of the Country sir...."

Until the people lawfully disbands their government and constructs a new one. (I'm NOT talking about voting for someone else here!) No idea how that would work legally speaking, but I think that is the only way.

Plausible deniability and all that....

Government wants one thing. Control. There is no longer the lesser of two evils.

it's about control all right. The executive branch has been running amok for years.

The corporations supply the agenda and funds for everything to operate. It's all about feeding corporations. Most things in the US government are designed to feed the them. Humans are commodities.

Keep focusing on your tribal ideologies. That's why humans are so easily duped.
