Well, I don't know about "blasts Obama" - he mentioned his name once, and that was in reference to opponents now having real ammo since this is an actual scandal that really happened. But, yeah, he's right - the IRS done f'd up..

I love Jon Stewart. I've been watching The Daily Show since he started working on it. Yes, he does lean democrat but he jumps all over corruption, hypocrisy, and insanity in both parties. All the time. My favorite segments of his show are when he's making Faux News, CNN, and MSNBC look like the idiots they are.

P.S. People who use the words Conservative, Republican, Liberal, or Democrat as if they were ad hominem attacks or insults are morons.

Actually Stewart had one of the toughest interviews with Obama that I've seen ahead of the election where he took him to task for hiring people like Larry Summers and Tim Geitner to head the recovery and his very problematic Obamacare bill. He was of course criticizing him for being a bad liberal, but he doesn't bend over backwards to make Obama look better at all.

@OP Jon Stewart is right about most things he covers.
Far right wingers are just too myopic to see it usually.

I should feel insulted, but I'm not anyone who knows the 'benevolence' of government has never been a reality has been on the 'right' side of the issues.

What say you?

Part of any successful change in government will require giving them benefit of the doubt. Short of a complete overthrow of the current administration (of the time) and complete revolution, there needs to be bi-partisan support and support from the people.

Obama has no chance of achieving this. Bush didn't have a shot in hell. In the future, if partisan politics can be minimized, and you get an administration in power that pulls power from either side, effectively exercising that power with a strict moral or judicial standard, than yes, it's possible to have a useful government.

One that would probably go down in the record books.

Until then, (It may never come) you have keep wishful thinking and prepare to be let down....

Stewart questioned the competency of the President. To me, he's "putting him on blast."

Jon Stewart is just a left wing commedian. He is NOT even handed in his political attacks even though the left likes to pretend he is. If Stewart is smacking Obama for the IRS scandal, then the writing is on the wall and it has to be sooooo big that even Stewart can't spin it into something nice for Obama. Otherwise, Stewart would still be serving the O-Koolaid.

I often get a charge out of Jon Stewart who at long last is becoming skeptical about Obama--and rightly so. But I also think that like many of us, he kept hoping Obama was going to keep his promises. Ha Ha. But then, I don't think Stewart is easily fooled. So, I'm not sure why he hasn't been hammering Obama more than he has. Guess he thinks that even though Obama hasn't proved to be an improvement (understatement), he's still better than Romney would have been. Let's face it, so many of us were hoping against hope that Obama would really pull through for the people notwithstanding so many had been let down before.

Personally, I don't think there's a lick to split between the two parties, one being as bad as the other. Neither is working in the best interests of the great unwashed. In my opinion, the last several presidents have been puppets of an inner sanctum comprised of elites (including in partthe gargantuan military machine ) who possess vast amounts of money, world-wide liaisons, and power in their own right. Unfortunately, this group behind the presidency has an agenda that works against the best interests of the rank and file. I further believe that we would be aghast if we could know what really goes on under cloak and dagger. As for the news, I believe anything that can be readily verified which, of course, is not very much. The media is simply the vehicle for propaganda.
