Getting a little shaky up there today. I haven't seen this activity for awhile so it's something I'm watching closely.

This isn't a run for the hills thread but rather just out of interest.

When I looked this morning it appeared we would have several sun spots rotating and facing earth over the next few days. Thanks for the post.

It seems that it is happening. Kind of exciting IMO.

With what I've read so far it will most likely just have an effect on communications for a short time. Nothing to worry about so far.

that made my day...

It pretty much means that some sun spots are slowy rotating towards earth and spits out waves of energy (sort of...) but none of them are directed directly to earth.

I think...

I also heard earlier that two satellites were in direct impact...

right now,. glancing shots,. no biggie
concerns to electronics,. though,. everytime the sun does this stuff,. I have issues at work with my

the spots always seem to calm when they become earth facing,.

As soon as the first thread on ATS about the first flare pop out i read it then went on space weather and read that two satellites were to get it by it. No joke. It's not there anymore so i guess they revised their projections or i just can't find it anymore.

Found it...

the CMEs appear to be on course to hit NASA's Epoxi and Spitzer spacecraft on May 15-16.
