Where did you get that figure? If you don't mind my asking.

Have you never head of the Tea Party Democrats?

And the figure was from a Gallup poll.

That is cute and all, but you are using info to spin to what you want.

I stand by my earlier response.

Perhaps you should actually do some research before stating BS, especially if you expect to have any credibility in the future.

The last straw of any desperate Progressive.

The Tea Party endorsed presidential candidates were HERMAN CAIN and Michelle Bachman!!!.

How did that work out for the Tea Party.....

Don't get me wrong; I'm all for having multiparty representation as it's more than evident that the DNC and GOP are more interested in promoting the corporate takeover of the country. But when the main funders of the Tea Party are corporate giants like the Koch bros; I have to call into question the agenda.

www.usnews.com...

www.nytimes.com...

To me it seems that the Tea Party has been co-opted by the same powers that call the shots for the GOP.

Hardly a grassroots organization any more.

That's why I'm a Libertarian... The only viable party left with any honor and credibility.

Plus being labeled a "people like you" and progressive is getting very tiresome; especially by those that don't have any idea what they are talking about and only want to parrot back what they hear on Rush, Beck and Hannity. Those three are big corporate shills and only pay lip service to the Tea Party. Just like Palin.

The Tea Party failed...it is now just a slowly dying animal.

They don't know what they stand for, they don't know what policies they support....they only knew one thing "Anyone But Obama"...and they failed.

I'm republican and I support the tea party... I am also member of the occupy movement

I believe in more liberty for people, smaller government, states rights reaffirmed and a change to stop bailing out wall street

What are you talking about? Tea Party Conservatives won most of their elections in 2012 and 2010. The establishment, big government Republicans took a beating.

Really??

Tell that to Obama whose signature 2nd term agenda (gun control) was promptly shut down by Tea Party darling Sen Ted Cruz of Texas.

How does it feel to be erroneously called a racist and progressive? I experience name calling almost daily on the ATS political forums. I don't even bother reporting it anymore as nothing is ever done anyway. So FLAME away.

NOTurTypical, I know that you are far from being a progressive and I sincerely doubt that you would play the race card.

However there are racist that like to try and hide it by claiming others "play the race card" Guilty conscience I suppose.

What?

Where are you getting your information...the Tea Party Candidates lost hard in 2012.

www.huffingtonpost.com...

Only four of the 16 Senate candidates endorsed by the Tea Party Express won on Tuesday, prompting some in the Republican Party to expect a battle over the party's future.

The "Tea Party Caucus" went from 59 to 48 after the 2012 elections.
www.dailykos.com...#

The Tea Party is dead...the GOP will primary out more and more Tea Party candidates each election. It was a racist response to a black President...and they were all crazy to boot...just finally admit that.

I looked back at all my posts and can't even find one that could even be mistaken for a racist post.

I'm dumbfounded.

And definitely not a progressive, I can't even stomach moderate Republicans.

Sounds like three opinions. I know Republicans that are Tea Party members. Tea party members believe that the only way to change the present course is through winning elections. The third is absolute speculation. What is the left so afraid, a more conservative GOP?

On the contrary, the more insane the GOP becomes, the fewer elections it will win.
