Aggressive synthetic life microbes find their way up the food chain

This has got me very, very worried

Back in June and July 2010 (BeePeeOilDisaster on youtube) began to watch the live camera feeds from the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. Credit goes to Sen. Ed Markey for FORCING B.P. to attach cameras to ALL of their Remote Operated Vehicles (R.O.V.'s) that they were using in place of humans to work on the exploded well head. It is impossible for any human to dive to that depth so they use these marine mechanical remote control robots to do the work.

and with the current radiation from fukishima?

It's also found out that this Mutant E.coli has migrated across the WHOLE globe which means it could be in our drinking water!

any thoughts on this?

They didn't need computers back then, they weren't eating all the food that interferes with our thinking abilities. They had the collective consciousness that was working right. What one knew others also knew.

Humans are not carbon. We are carbon based life form but it does not mean that everything that eats stuff with carbon will feast on us. Sugar is carbon-based. Lots of organisms consume it, even bacteria. And? Are we in mortal threat to be eaten by vicious hummingbirds that eat carbon-based nectar?
Carbon is just a chemical element that is present in lots of different molecules. That bacteria eats certain molecule with carbon. So?

I'm not at all trying to sound condescending, but every living organism eats carbon. These "synthetic" microbes are not synthetic in that they are machines, but synthetic as in they have DNA that's been modified to increase the production of enzymes which catabolize/"break down" long chain carbon molecules like those found in crude oil. The basic genetics already exist in real, pre-existing organisms, these modified bacteria just express more of the genes leading to more enzyme production and more hydrocarbons being metabolized.

Bacteria are tiny. Reallllly tiny. Any report of seeing "things swimming" in the divers goggles is not due to the existence of genetically modified bacteria. That's silly. There is nothing these bacteria can do that doesn't already happen in other species of bacteria. It is next to impossible to create DNA from scratch that can actually form proteins with novel substrates and functions at this time. All of this is hype and fear stemming from people who have absolutely no knowledge of genetics or biology.
