Permindex and the JFK Connection

I'd like to begin this thread by stating I hope it serves to complement the many JFK threads on ATS thus far. ATS Moderator Rising Against has authored a substantial number of JFK threads and is our resident expert on the subject. I would like to propose the idea that a forum dedicated to the JFK Assassination be created, similar to the 9/11 Conspiracy Forum. This thread is not intended to research who "pulled the trigger," but which organizations and individuals were involved with conspiring to assassinate President Kennedy.

An ATS search of the company Permindex does not generate much information regarding the JFK assassination. Additionally, Googling Permindex reveals very little information as well. I find this very curious. To be honest, I could not determine if the company still exists today. The bulk of information that I located on Google regarding Permindex was contained in various threads. Permindex, otherwise known as Permanent Industrial Exposition, was a trade organization incorporated and based in Basle, Switzerland in 1956. It has been suggested that Permindex was/is a front organization for the Central Intelligence Agency. In 1959, Permindex's president was the former prime minister of Hugary Ferenc Nagy. It is speculated that Nagy was utilized by CIA, as well as Permindex, for anti-Soviet counter-intelligence in Italy. The reason I think Permindex is integral to the JFK conspiracy is that:

1) Permindex was implicated in the financing of the 1962 Organisation de l'armée secrète (OAS) assassination attempt on French President Charles de Gaulle.

2) Guy Banister was also linked to Permindex through the attempted assassination of de Gaulle. Banister had strong links to both pro-Castro and anti-Castro figures in the New Orleans area. He was also accused of being an associate of Clay Shaw.

3) New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison prosecuted Clay Shaw on the charge that Shaw and a group of right-wing activists, including David Ferrie and Guy Banister, were involved in a conspiracy with elements of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the John F. Kennedy assassination.

Garrison arrested Shaw on March 1, 1967. Garrison believed that Clay Shaw was the man named as "Clay Bertrand" in the Warren Commission Report. Garrison said that Shaw used the alias "Clay Bertrand" among New Orleans' gay society. Garrison states that Shaw had an "extensive international role as an employee of the CIA". Shaw denied any such connections. In 1979, Richard Helms, former director of the CIA, testified under oath that Clay Shaw had been a part-time contact of the Domestic Contact Service of the CIA, where Shaw volunteered information from his travels abroad.

Shaw was the head of the International Trade Mart, based out of New Orleans. The Italian Centro Mondiale Commerciale was believed to be a subsidery of Permindex, of which Clay Shaw was a board member. It is thought that CMC was responsible for transferring funds to Italy for illegal political espionage activities.

An excellent video series on YouTube is called The Men Who Killed Kennedy. I believe there are nine or ten parts. The series presents the case that the actual "shooters" were potentially Italian or French assassins.

This is the first I have also heard of Operation 40. It seems the many of the persons involved with Operation 40 could have easily "pulled off" the assassination of JFK. A lot of conjecture, I know, but the operatives involved in Operation 40 provide a unique and established role with the president's enemies.

I did see it. I thought it provided an interesting look into the dynamics, and politics, of our country during the Cold War. Kennedy sure didn't make a lot of friends by alienating the CIA. I thought he kinda left them out in the cold during the failed invasion of Cuba. Lots of irrepable mistakes. Kennedy scared a lot of people by threatening the CIA, offering to start talks with the Soviet Union about nuclear de-proliferation, and pulling us out of Viet Nam.

After firing Allan Dulles JFK was quoted, "I'll smash the CIA into a thousand pieces..." Kennedy's problem was that too many people profited by his death, including Vice President Johnson, having owned stock in Bell Helicopters and ultimately produced more than 12,000 Hueys during the conflict in Viet Nam totaling billions. JFK was not a friend of the Military-Industrial Complex.

I happened upon an interesting web page just about linking every major conspiracy together! Almost a bit too much, even for a good ole' conspiracy nut like me. It was an interesting read, however, so I thought I'd post a link since it mentions Permindex.
