I feel so bad for the folks in this town ....

Four months ago ... the slaughter at their school.
And now ... they were up close to the twin bombings at the Marathon ...

26 seconds of silence for the Newtown victims at the start of the Marathon.
The last mile - 26 - dedicated to the Newton victims.
Nine Newtown folks were running in the Marathon.
The Newtown famlies had VIP seating near the finish line .. by the blasts.

Authorities are still sorting out the details regarding the deadly bombing at the Boston Marathon today, and, according to a new report, many families of the recent Newtown, Connecticut shooting may have been witnesses to yet another tragedy.

We all know the story. In December, a gunman shot and killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, leaving the nation devastated and shocked.

Today’s Boston Marathon honored the victims of the shooting at several points throughout the race. This included a 26-second silence to open the event and the 26th mile being dedicated to the people killed in the shooting. Additionally, CBS Boston reports that nine members of the Newtown community were running in the event.

Either a terrible coincidence or someone really hates these people.

I'm flabbergasted by this one - really. It's got my conspiracy mind spinning.

Going to keep a real close eye on this story for sure.

Especially considering I don't believe in coincidences.

This is a bit off topic but here's a coincidence for you...

I had been living in this house for over 6 months, I rent it from some friends.

One day I was over their place and they had been doing a bit of cleaning and had found mounting brackets for the pelmet over one of the windows in the house I'm renting that never got put on, it had been sitting on the frame the whole time.

They gave them to me saying it might be a good idea to put the brackets on since the pelmet might fall off.

That night, it fell...

Bona fide coincidence.
