No, this is incorrect. It was NOT a fire. It was an explosion - the details have changed, as being reported LIVE on the BBC lives news feed.

Stop the needless bickering. You guys are seasoned ATSer's keep your heads cool and keep the great up to date information rolling. I thank you guys for keeping this coming in. Fidelity thank you for confirming JFK Library is a bombing.

Is it me or do you guys remember Al Queda saying that they would be stepping up the attacks on the US? Or is it just me? I wouldn't speculate that I remember reading a news report somewhere~

Luckily the other bombs were found so fast. Somebody reported about one bomb being in the trash can. If the others were all in trash cans or on the side of the street, then it was very fast reaction in finding.

Probably the video tape helped to find the others.

If what FOX says is true, terrorist attack, then I truly hope it was the main operation, not a distraction from something else.

Was the explosion at the JFK library before or after the marathon explosion. If it was before then the distance would lead me believe that was set to draw way emergency personnel

Anyone seen "Unthinkable"??

The protagonist plants several bombs and just as the law enforcement finds the "last" bomb by his guiding them around, the camera pans over to.... a nuke placed only feet away from the distractive bomb and the counter is reaching zero.

Potential false flag in the making here?

Who resides in Boston that the TPTB would like to see go before the begin to remove the 2nd amendment?
Any political opposition? Or civilian opposition?

This is probably just a test run.

I'm leaning towards test run because they didn't go for maximum carnage.

since there has been explosive devices discovered in different locations, what are the chances of many more not yet found. It's possible to put America in complete lock down if bombs go off across the whole nation which is highly worrying for you all.

Well, that is interesting. Now I'm curious why.

I do not feel terrorized.

I am pissed. I am doubtful. I am concerned. I am sad.

But I do not fear. I am not afraid.

I do not need to surrender my rights to feel safe.

The guilty will, sooner or later, be held for their actions.

I am patient.

I would start to get worried if they started detonating in other cities. That would lead me to believe that these individuals have more means than operating in a single city

Cell phone services shut down in Boston as well. They're taking a lot of precautions.

Thats what I thought as well. While its only a few bombs in Boston, it could be domestic attack by an individual, rather than some domestic group or foreign organization.

The suspect — a Saudi national who suffered shrapnel wounds in today's blast — is currently being guarded in a Boston hospital

Why doesn't that surprise me?

At first sight it does look a bit "amateurish" for any foreing organization...

BUT, there are still a lot of missing pieces.
A "terrorist" attack, by definition, tries to maximise the shock value, but perhaps, we were lucky and "only" two bombs of many more exploded.
(obviously I mean "lucky" in the sense that it could've been much much worse...)

It still sucks though.

Saudi suspect could just be a innocent bystander that was hurt in the explosion. I wouldn't be so quick to make a judgement just because of his nationallity.

Taking it from the other side it would lead to an interisting connection and investigation if the Saudi is involved.

Time to let the pros do their job I guess. Not that you can trust them neither.

I pray for the victims and their families.

Just read that on twitter as well, and too me i understand the neccesity for such an action well almost. The thing that irks me is you now have a society unable to capture and send any images, make calls to report suspicious activity this whole thing is aweful, but a full lock down seems pretty off to me.

Just my opinion
