If you are using chrome, click on the icon that is simply 3 horizontal lines on your top bar area. The menu (sorry if you know all this... It's
easier than assuming and seeing everyone get frustrated). Under that you want the
Tools Menu, then
Clear Browsing Data. In the pop up
box that should come next, you want ONLY boxes 1, 2 and 4 checked. Those are Browsing History, Download History and Cache, in that order.
You really only
NEED #4, Cache, for what the suggestion is, but I hit all 3 of them in case something exists in one place and conflicts with
anything else.
You may also want to download a free utility from Piriform called
CCleaner. It's a general utility that
I've seen mentioned here before and you'll find reviewed on places like Cnet and PC Magazine among others, if you're concerned about downloading
something based on an internet tip.
What it does it basically what the Browser commands do but in a more thorough and complete way. You can also set it to "Add Bleach" which, depending
on settings, will make anything you delete impossible to recover outside of specialized skills and forensic data recovery methods. (think FBI or very
high dollar commercial services)
Hope that helps? If nothing else? Check other 'free chat rooms' around the net. ATS uses what looks like a modified and proprietary interface but
the underlying technology is common to almost all the chat rooms accessible without a special software (Like IRC, which requires a client to connect
with). I say this because while ATS may not have your answer, you should be finding none of the others work either. Just as the other member found
with my server and I cycled through 3 different pieces of software to try and make it work.
^^^ Those other services may well have tech support forums where the question has been answered in some detail which will work for your situation?
