There's a famous line in the Bible when Jesus said to a tax collector, "Render onto Caesar what is Caesar's and onto God, what is God's."

Similarly, since God created humans, and humans created adult entertainment (along with complicated copyright laws), I believe accessing adult content online would be legal for review purposes, and or personal use. This is the Vatican we're talking about though, not Joe the Plumber (though I'm sure the two are related). It just seems hypocritical that the members of the Catholic Church, including the Clergy, have been indulging their dark secrets, while trying to hold the moral high ground.

I personally, as an atheist, do not see it as that much of a scandal. After all, everybody got needs and also illegal torrent downloading is not very uncommon. I am not voicing my support in it with my previos statement, simply stating a known fact, which statistics show

Although I understand if some religious people might find it as disturbing behaviour.

Maybe the downloader is a atheist.

So what? Most of the internet traffic is porn, most of the money made on internet is using porn. People should stop being (faking) so prude. If one has access to the internet, this person has porn.

It's true that internet was a way to bring The World Peace (suckers ) and educate human race. But so was a TV and radio. Even airplanes were meant to bring a world peace (as weapons) and ....... uhm .... nuclear weapons It's in human nature and by Darwin it's the only reason we are here. In order to survive and evolve you have to be a disgusting freak and killer (he said the same thing in other words). Once you go soft (FB, Twitter, Reality TV etc.) you die
