As I've been a member now for ohhhhh 3 months or so, I'm not really keeping count. I've learned several tidbits about this site.

1~ Heff is Batman
2~ The most well written articulate threads are most often bypassed for the person who is easier ride like seatle slew~
3~ Ignorrance is manifested in oh so, so many different ways on this site

There are some really strange people in this world ....

Some absolutely brilliant, some really nice, some completely bonkers....

I have learned....

To agree to disagree

Live and let live

Open my mind and heart up to new ideas

What everyone says on here...is important to them

Don't believe everything I hear, see and read...and to do my own investigations

8. All politicians are evil except for Ron Paul

7.Always carry duct tape

6.Des is AWESOME!

5.I want to eat at Mblah's house

4. Heff is the "Go To" guy for all things "Voodoo"

3. Learn to recognize Bernard and call him out!

2. Don't feed the trolls

One thing I've learned....

The Political Forums need to carry a High Blood Pressure Health Warning.

But perhaps not a "Govenment" Health Warning.

ROFL! I wish I thought of that one! Great Response!
And so true... So true!

ATS may start offering Labotomies in the future for people who get carried away in those threads.... J/k J/k~

I've learned...

1. People, in general, are terrible human beings.

2. There is no changing someone's mind. Conversations on ATS are varying degrees of of spouting your beliefs and ideologies at someone until you're blue in the face. Courtesy is not mandatory, and is in fact the exception.

3. Most people have absolutely no idea in which circumstances Ockham's Razor can be reasonably applied (or how to spell it.)

If I could star you 2x I would.

Occam's razor (also written as Ockham's razor from William of Ockham, and in Latin lex parsimoniae) is a principle of parsimony, economy, or succinctness used in logic and problem-solving. It states that among competing hypotheses, the one that makes the fewest assumptions should be selected.

I couldn't agree more! And I learned a new word and definition! /applaud's

I learnt to not be surprised by people's reactions, because even the calmest of threads can trigger rage from someone.

Everyone's opinions count, even if others don't agree.

I literally learn something new everyday whether it be about DNA mutations or pizza. I always learn something

And my faith in humanity was restored because there are some genuinely awesome people on here

I have found that a lot of people have a lot of varying views on the world and what amount of credibility to put into certain things. I have also had some very good debates with some people on ATS. I have also learned as previously mentioned that you will never be able to change ones mind.

I have learned that Mayan Calendar did not inactuality end on Dec 21, 2012 It really ended in roughtly 10 differing dates.

I have learned that there are either a good number of trolls on ATS or a good number of people with seemingly emphatic death wishes on ATS

The single most shocking thing I have learned is that "smart people", and most others, actually don't understand much at all - they have only memorized other people's understandings.

And I'm a wuss because I feel sad for them.

LOL!
I'm waiting for them to close the 2012 thread or rename it 2013 with a meteor as the symbol!
