Parasite Turning Us All Into Zombies

www.blacklistednews.com

According to scientists, at least 40% of the population may be living at the mercy of the parasites that infect their brains. That’s right: just under half the world’s humans have been turned into the real-life equivalent of zombies.

Neuroparasitology, or what the UK Telegraph calls “zombie reprogramming,” is a result of parasites or other microbes entering the brain and rewiring how you think and act.

The article's title is a bit overstated and dramatic, but if true, this is a very worrisome phenomenon.

The parasites don't turn people into zombies in the "shambling through the streets in rotting clothes" sense. Rather, the effects are more subtle. For example, the parasites can lodge in different brain centers and do things like increase suicidal tendencies or reckless driving. And who knows what else? Studies remain incomplete.

And 40% is a big  number, folks. I don't know about you but I find this unsettling, to say the least.

That's a better number then I originally thought. I was under the assumption that it was more people were sheep and zombies.

This is not breaking news. In fact, there have already been quite a few threads on the subject.

Thoroughly cook your food. Keep your cats off of food surfaces. You'll be fine.

Article kind of sucks but there's a lot of truth to that. Google Toxoplasmosis.

en.wikipedia.org...

Up to a third of the world's human population is estimated to carry a Toxoplasma infection.
