For now it has become real ! not some thought nor prediction but fact NK and the US SK are about to duke it out .NK does have Nukes, we know US has nukes China Russia , now that we are being told that Mighty NK is about to target us the US, we will most likely do what needs to be done, and that will be seen too Un the act to set WW3 off worldnews.nbcnews.com... yes Un has made the first move to war now we must move , the Game of chess is about to start glowing, now that you get the jest of the game are you ready to play?

Who will launch first US or Un? what city will be targeted ? How well is their targeting we have seen them fail at launches, will they fail to hit the right target , say they go for SF and hit LA,they will say it is a grate victory why we will say but you missed, you can not hit S$%! !.

When that happens not saying SF is a target , but Guam Okinawa Hawaii all are[ No need to say SK South Korea that is a given,]

When we go to retaliate, will it be Nukes non nukes?

Will NK Un er DPRK [can not leave all that out for they are all the same] use nukes? will China lets us, will Russia?

Then there is the Nuke them before they Nuke us, "send in the B52's and level them North Korea will be a big hole" any one heard that yet? I have for the old troops from the first war and some form the new kids , 13 to 20 years old's that have been war taught, by news or by fathers that have seen the art of war, now the art war, live the art of war, The first to hit is the Victor. or so the thought goes.

If they do fire first, which they won't, because Un's bark is worse than his bite, the US will intercept and destroy their first salvo. In that case we should retaliate with nukes and be done with it.

The USA will not need to use Nukes. Perhaps people do not remember Dresden. We carpet bombed a very large city into rubble with good old fashioned standard ordinance. Why nuke when we can drone missile and bomb them into oblivion. Which at this point, is pretty much what needs to happen.

You do realise that it's simply rhetoric again, right? The worst he'll do is fire at South Korea, not actual American soil!

In any case, I'll believe it when I see it! Right now, it's just predictable rhetoric - don't get too excited. This isn't the early twentieth century whereby the entire human race could be annihilated by a war. This is 2013. There are much more deadly weapons lying around - countries won't be so enthusiastic to enter into a World War this time around.

WW3 still has a ways to go. Even when I was stationed in Korea about 10 years ago the North always kept two artillery peices trained on every building in the Capitol of South Korea. That way if the US or SK decided to be aggressive, a salvo or two would level the whole city. Its nothing new. the North spewing anti-SK and US rhetoric is nothing new. even the crazies in the North know that throwing around a nuke or two will spell certain doom for them. so No, I'd say you need to find some doom porn WW3 stuff elsewhere.

NK's military is positioned to deliver a first strike against the South if they believe that an attack is imminent. They have nearly a million troops, 2k tanks and 8k artillery pieces within a few miles of the DMZ. They have the 5th largest military in the world.

There is no stopping an artillery salvo, and NK has a crap ton of artillery pointed at strong-points and Seoul itself.

If you read white papers on what would go down if Korea was to become a hot zone, they mostly agree that NK would strike targets around Seoul with overwhelming force, invade with overwhelming force and either outright destroy Seoul or capture the city within days; perhaps with the use of chemical weapons. This would all happen before SK, the US and the allied forces could even make a deployment to the area.

What is not clear is if NK will attempt to fully unify the peninsula or use Seoul as a bargaining chip to gain favorable terms of peace.

At this point I hope they hit my apartments cause anymore of this nonsense and my head will end up exploding, but on a serious note I brought up the fact they don't have to hit us here in the us to do damage, all they would need to do is blow up fukishima and we're all done for. As for who is gonna act first it will most likely be us, considering any nuke is a bad nuke no matter where it lands and honestly if they (NK) end up doing/getting away with it first then we all will have lost all respect for our military. Either way we're screwed, damned if you do and damned if you don't. Mind you there are plenty of people trapped in NK and want to leave, but can't so are they to go down with the ship? I highly doubt we would nuke them out of existence probably just use a few emp's and take out all there comm's and break down their military piece by piece then let the UN go in and "rescue". My 2 cents.

if ww3 happens il eat my own socks, there is not going to be any world war anytime soon, esp from anything got to do with NK. if WW is going to happen, keep your eye on the middlr east area. Thats all there is to say on this discussion IMO.
TPTB are too bussy taking all our wealth/sovernty/rights and anything else they can get their hands on, they dont need a world war yet.

The ones that need to worry is SK and Japan not us, we could wipe NK out in minutes.

Even IF NK attacked (and that's a big IF), and even IF they used nukes, we wouldn't retaliate with nukes. 1) It would be political suicide, 2) We have sufficient conventional forces in the area to counter the threat, 3) NK by most professional accounts does not have the ability to deliver a missile based nuclear warhead (personally, I think they do, but only low yield ones), 4) Even their best missile would likely hit the water before the US' west coast (but could still hit other US interests closer), and 5) By abstaining from nukes, we'd be in the moral high ground, which is exactly where we'd want to be after Un's regime is history.

In any case, no way is a NK/SK conflict going to trigger a World War.

Yeah, and THEN what? That's the tricky part. China doesn't want a unified democratic Korea, and we don't want a unified communist Korea...so then what? There's the rub.

well there are still level heads after reading what has been posted so far time has yet to tell if this is bark and bite, form what i can gather on Un, it is yet to be known what he will do, as for us US, we should just sit back and say Bark all you want Un we will not fall for it, so far seems to be the Game. Yes we are taking precautions s we should , will Un not react to this? Seems that is not he case for he is reacting,not in they way we want him too.

The US has technology that will immobilze them before they can make a move with their million troops, 2k tanks, and 8k artillery pieces. Believe me, we have technology that the general public is not aware of yet, yet alone the rest of the world, and will make any NK foray into the South utter foolishness.

No sir it was not standard ordinance it was fire bombing.

That event was the proof of the pudding that the Anglo-Americans were no better than the Nazis or the Russians as they still continue to propagandize (even if we now have many other examples) this was the stepping stone that enabled fire bombing and nuclear bombing of Japan.

Japan was indeed the worst of all in dealing with civilian rights and rules of war but even so the US has historically been proven worst from inception to present day there is no comparison with any other nation, even when speaking about its own citizens and we are talking of a very young nation...

No one is going to be firing Nukes.

NK would be more retarded than everyone already thinks they are to open play with a nuke; using their highest card first. It'd be a complete and total strategic waste.
So long as they hold nukes in reserve, they can escalate and de-escalate at will.

No one else will need to use nukes, nor want to. Nukes over NK would be counter-productive.

If anything, it's doubtful anything is going to develop into a shooting war.

NK makes noise like a 12 year old princess on a tirade when NK wants attention, usually in the form of money.
Anyone else reciprocating with similar noises may be either mocking NK, or imitating them for a handout as well.

NK making noise also serves as an entirely useful idiot.
So long as NK is screaming it's spoiled rotten self entitled little princess head off, US, and other governments are free to move all sorts of dangerous military equipment all over the planet into positions that could be used all sorts of different ways that would otherwise raise eyebrows or cause a fuss.
Thus, NK throwing a fit is advantageous to everyone taking advantage of the distraction.

It's all political theater.
No one is shooting anyone else.
