War of the Worlds.....CBS Radio Broadcast

I know that everyone is familiar with the history of this event but I thought I'd post it anyways.

If you listen to this, especially the prologue, you can hear many of the fears that we echo today being brought forward. This is an extremely important event in world history because it captured the imagination of particularly the wartime fear that engulfed the world.

In a way it shows how frail humans are.

To put this in context, imagine if you were watching FOX or CNN and they interrupted their broadcasts to inform you that aliens were attacking. This is the belief, actually they had more faith, that people had in media at this point in time.

Pretty much everyone hearing this had no reason to doubt it was real. Its a very sobering example of how people can be manipulated and what this means to us today I will leave that up to you to decide.

Its worth a listen if you have the time.
