Can anyone guess which state is looking at doing this? I'll give ya two guesses and Texas doesn't count.

Texas is known for its sales tax free weekend before school starts. Now, if a Plano republican gets his way, there'll be a sales tax free day to purchase guns.

Representative Jeff Leach says he wants to encourage gun ownership.

"Because we sincerely and strongly believe Texas should take the lead against the federal government's attempts to infringe on our 2nd Amendment rights."

They wouldn't be the first with the idea....but it sure isn't a bad one.

I imagine people like Piers Morgan would have a coronary over this but America is a unique place isn't it? God Bless it!

Now that's a sale worth saving my pennies for. Good for my birth State, Texas. I hope other States follow with more of the same. The way things are going, it won't be long before a new luxury tax is imposed on fire arms. Like boats and airplanes. Because it will be a luxury to own one.

Just like our Governor, Rick Perry said...."Y'all come on down to Texas and bring your guns".
