The Summoning of Russia and Iran to Israel - Ezekiel 35-39

I defy you to explain the enigma listed below from the 7th Century BC. Not only did it happen, there is no way of construing this as some sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. For those who think in terms of a mass conspiracy to self-fulfill some predetermined outcome, I additionally defy you to show how masses of people, across varying languages and cultures, could have pulled this off through war, famine and cruel tyrannies.

The following was outlined by Ezekiel to the letter.

1. The Israelites would be driven from their land for a very long period of time. See this thread concering the exact prophecy, dates and ties of their return to the year (1948)

2. The Israelites would survive as a distinct people.

3. Their land would be confiscated by the surrounding nations.

4. These nations would be descended from Esau and Ishmael, presently know as Arabs.

5. These peoples would have a perpetual hatred of the Israelites.

6. Israel would become an utter desolation and not respond to the agricultural efforts of the usurpers. We know this was true. It was not until Israel came back that the land again flourished. See this Video. Before Israel, this was desert wasteland.

7. Against all odds, the Israelites would return and become a nation.

8. The land would miraculously respond to them and flourish. Again, note the video above.

9. The Arab nations would conduct an unending war against the Israelites - Now known as Israelis.

10. Israel would survive all assaults and prosper. As you can see, we are now at this point in Ezekiel's prophecy. 2012 is our marker for this event.

11. This will finally provoke an assault upon Israel led by the Russian and all the surrounding Muslim nations.

What can we expect to happen next? Do we see Russia and Iran gearing up for this event? How do you explain these away? If this is true, what else did God say that is true?

Ezekiel 38

8 After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many [a]nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the [c]nations, and they are living securely, all of them. 9 You will go up, you will come like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your troops, and many peoples with you.”

10 “‘Because you have said, “These two nations and countries will be ours and we will take possession of them,” even though I the Lord was there, 11 therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will treat you in accordance with the anger and jealousy you showed in your hatred of them and I will make myself known among them when I judge you. 12 Then you will know that I the Lord have heard all the contemptible things you have said against the mountains of Israel. You said, “They have been laid waste and have been given over to us to devour.” 13 You boasted against me and spoke against me without restraint, and I heard it. 14 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: While the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate. 15 Because you rejoiced when the inheritance of Israel became desolate, that is how I will treat you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, you and all of Edom. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”

Ezekiel 36

36 “Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, ‘Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord. 2 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The enemy said of you, “Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession.”’ 3 Therefore prophesy and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because they ravaged and crushed you from every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people’s malicious talk and slander, 4 therefore, mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign Lord: This is what the Sovereign Lord says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the desolate ruins and the deserted towns that have been plundered and ridiculed by the rest of the nations around you— 5 this is what the Sovereign Lord says: In my burning zeal I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, for with glee and with malice in their hearts they made my land their own possession so that they might plunder its pastureland.’

8 “‘But you, mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home. 9 I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown, 10 and I will cause many people to live on you—yes, all of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. 11 I will increase the number of people and animals living on you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 12 I will cause people, my people Israel, to live on you. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance; you will never again deprive them of their children.

13 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because some say to you, “You devour people and deprive your nation of its children,” 14 therefore you will no longer devour people or make your nation childless, declares the Sovereign Lord. 15 No longer will I make you hear the taunts of the nations, and no longer will you suffer the scorn of the peoples or cause your nation to fall, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

19 I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions. 20 And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them, ‘These are the Lord’s people, and yet they had to leave his land.’ 21 I had concern for my holy name, which the people of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone.

24 “‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. 28 Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you. 30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine. 31 Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices. 32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign Lord. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, people of Israel!

Ezekiel 37

11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’”

‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. 22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. 23 They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding, and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

24 “‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. 25 They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever. 26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever. 27 My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people. 28 Then the nations will know that I the Lord make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever.’”

Ezekiel 38

38 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of[a] Meshek and Tubal; prophesy against him 3 and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. 5 Persia, Cush[c] and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, 6 also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.

7 “‘Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. 8 After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. 9 You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.

10 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. 11 You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. 12 I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land.[d]” 13 Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages[e] will say to you, “Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?”’

14 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? 15 You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. 16 You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.

17 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You are the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel. At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them. 18 This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. 23 And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’

Is this a God fearing thread? Are you saying that only a "God" could have committed such atrocities as war and famine? Why is it that if crap goes wrong humans have to run to religion or "God" for help, when will the human race grow a back bone and realize We Created Gods in Our Image, hence why all Gods are jealous, wrathful, tend to "mate" with human females. You really think if you have reached Godhood you would want or even need to reproduce with mortality? We humans are to blame for all the diseases and plagues that have run rampant on this planet and it is up to us humans to fix them.

God gave us a garden and we will leave it a field of burning weeds. This is true. Additionally, God is a law unto Himself. Like Newton's laws of motion, every action requires an equal and opposite reaction. We reap what we so, but God's will is always giving. When we become thieves, the law answers the problem. When we fulfill the law with love and unity, the surplus that is produced heals the land.

I agree with that 100%, we get what we put in. It just doesn't take a "God" to heal our land and us. We have the power to heal the land and make right, but most humans rather watch NFL and Honey Boo Boo. When we are in true need of a "God", it will already be too late.

I dare not say one part of the bible is more important than another but today this is one to watch for very carefully as everything is building up to it right now. The Russians are piling up ships off the coast of Syria, Lebanon and Israel as we speak. The odds of this being orchestrated from the 7th century, through revolution, wars, vicissitudes of society, changing ideologies, the industrial revolution and the technological revolution is nonsense. Apart from being know by an intelligence outside of time, there is NO chance. At what point will we say that the odds have been defied? When the pope feeds the sheep? When Rome is destroyed? When Damascus is destroyed fully? At what point do we say the Bible shows us the future as it passes two directions? God draws the future into the past so we see it coming and going. It's not hard to notice.

The same people still rule the world today that did back when Jesus lived, the generation Jesus called "unbelieving and perverted" in Matthew 17:17. "Satan" runs Earth, a.k.a. man. The laws and government regulations prove this, and the situation the world is in is also proof that "Satan" runs it. Nothing is new under the sun, we are still constantly lied to, and Paul's teachings propagate this deception.

If a loving God is to get rid of evil he must do away with it, but if evil wants to continue it will fight to survive through war and will stop at nothing and no child,father,mother or brother is gonna stop it because it has to. It is good that you feel for those lost in war and proves that love exist in those who are not ready to give into God just yet because of reasons unknown.

Those that are taken are taken by human hands and human hands alone and if we loved we would of loved our neighbors as our selves but we failed.
