Greetings, I'd like to share with you my opinion on a matter of history seemingly repeating it self, which is this:

Mongolia's timeline repeated in a sense by America.

1st point: (And most Important one)
The plagues which were believe caused by the Mongols hurling dead bodies for collateral damage.
America launching nukes causing who knows what and it is not good.

2nd point:
Mongol domination of the world at the time.
America's domination of the world at this time.
Well both not fully dominating of course but it sure is a big piece of the pie.

3rd point:
Mongols demanded tribute and demanded to trade things their way.
America and it's demand for oil and it's dollar.

4th point:
They were both united states.

5th point:
They both brought about prosperity in much of the world that was affected by them.

6th point:
Their Armies and their tactics are both ahead of their times per se.

7th point:
They both have gone up agaisn't a protective foundation in China. (Great Wall-Great Firewall.)

I hope you enjoyed the read and if you want sources please view Mongolia's history during the Khan dynasty and what follows after and compare it to modern events of America and make up your own mind.

Mods: I thought this forum best suited this thread but please move to one I may have over looked if you deem it necessary.

I think you'd find the same when comparing the US to Rome or the British Empire.
