can you describe "enlightenment" in one sentance...what is it to you?

Enlightenment is a direct self realization of god. Know thyself is as accurate as it gets.

When you can live through the eyes of the self, and not the eyes of the ego, you will truly know yourself.

The ego is the veil that separates us from the divine. When you hear the term apocalypse, which means, the lifting of the veil, it means that lifting of the ego. When the ego is lifted, all that remains is light and love.

Enlightenment means understanding, while modern usage of the term generally means "more understanding than most". Makes a lot of sense when you look around at all the ignorance and hatred.

enlightenment, knowing the truth of the situation.

Enlightement is like finding the perfect lover that will never leave.

My perception of enlightenment is:

When one realizes we are all one coupled with the understanding we are living in an imperfect world striving for perfection and as we go in accordance with nature we must also realize when we go against nature the law of one is broken.

You don't need to know what it is. Open yourself to unconditional compassion, love, charity. As much as you can, as often as you can. It will find you.

Tempered selflessness, and an appreciation for nature (not necessarily as a synonym for the "outdoors").
