Ever hear of The Battle Of Athens?

I'm surprised i've never heard of this.

Basically, the sheriff and town officials were corrupt and throwing the town elections and the people got tired of it and decided to take up arms against them and won.
i know ill be put on a list for posting this, but eff em.

No, never heard of it until today ...

I saw the video, then thought it must be Hollywood fiction but checked Wiki anyway and sure enough! It's there too! They never mentioned this in American history classes.

So, I came to see if ATS had anything on it and got your thread first (though, there are others too).
