This is just a cool little video I found. I won't go into much detail because I don't want to spoil a pleasant surprise.

Looks to me like a lot of video work and various CGI methods went into making that.

I'd go so far as to say the "music" was made first (by using sound samples), and then some time afterwards they made a video to go with it.
