Please help out, and watch this brief Helecopter Footage and tell me what type of weapon you see being removed from what us reportedly Adam Lozano's mother's car.

I am involved in a heated debate as to whether it is an assault rifle, or a shotgun.

I suggest focusing on the first few seconds... Which clearly show the officer removing a magazine from the weapon, then ejecting the live round from the chamber. My "friend" insists it is clearly a shotgun.

Please help me identify this weapon.

thank you for the input.

I thought shotgun too.... But if you look at the first three seconds of the video, you can see the officer unclipping a magazine and tossing it aside. The curve of the clip is clear and the light actually reflects off of it. You can see the officers thumb wrapped around it, blocking his hand.

To my knowledge, shotguns dont clips... Except that sick auto-shotty on youtube.

The saiga shotgun actually employs use of a clip.

I'm on my iTouch so it's a small screen, but it is a semi-auto shotgun.

Funny enough, my opponent in this argument kept ridiculing me, saying I was a conspiracy nut who was seeing shadows and imagining the magazine... And I adamant that it was there, clear as day, and therefore MUST be sn assault rifle (as I was completely unaware there are shotguns that use clips like that)

So, he and I were both wrong on one count, and both right on another.

This is why we research, review, research, review...

Looks like a pump action shotgun.

Looks like a Saiga 12 ga. The giveaway is the distinctive forward grip. It's hard to see because of the crappy video quality, but, look close enough, and, you can just see it.
Same grip as on this Saiga .308.

i must agree as well, semi auto shotgun, that's exactly what it looks
like.

I have to wonder why all of this was handled so oddly, conspiracy or not
i think there are some major question pertaining to how we deal with
this kind of thing and the news associated with it.
