Theres a lot going on, as you can see from the screenshot below, which links to the interactive map.
Getting very close to catching almost every network on the planet, at the moment I am restricting it to those that show more than 10 events, regardless of their magnitude.
On this test day (28th Nov) we have the usual suspects, usgs, emsc, greece, geonet, geoau, canada and bgs networks (Chile data is via emsc) along with;
iceland, spain, japan reviewed, colombia and china.
(click image for interactive map, opens in new tab/window)

it takes a few days for the data to come in from some places, as I said before iceland is about 12 hours, looks like China is about 24 hours, japan is getting better, was about 3 days but lately has been 36hrs for reviewed data.
Now that November is done with i can gather the other networks like Thailand, Taiwan, Cyprus, Turkey and Iran and chuck them in too, it is not worth it at the moment to download them seperately each day as they only have one or two events per day or are already covered by emsc.

Are these unusual?
From memory Congo quakes are usually in South Kivu Province near the lakes, these are in Maniema Province 300km to the West.
I haven't got time this morning to run a search, maybe someone can have a look?

Olivine
A nice sized quake well off the coast of Oregon, near the ridge.
Mag 5.4

Followed by a slightly smaller, though deeper one 90 seconds or so later at the opposite end.
Mag 5.1

Not directly on the fault though...

Unusual but not unprecedented, as my memory suggested most quakes are in the Rift Vally (the Lakes), but there seems to be a Fault running West/East that follows the Lowa River.

I had a headache yesterday also. Came on out of the blue, around 12 noon. I'm on the West Coast LA too. I took a pill for it and it went away.

I replied to your other thread about the quake. I had a very creepy dream while these EQ's were happening.

Honestly, anything under a 7 mag in Alaska is kinda the norm.

I am much more interested in the 4.5 that just occurred in Oklahoma. I'll bet that was really felt, given the ground type there. It showed up as a nice, long signal on the Yellowstone Seismos:

(for those that don't know, this does NOT mean it actually shook in Yellowstone, just the P wave showing up as it made its normal travel around the globe.
)

LINK

Hmmmm...actually, I will need to do some math before committing to the above statement. That could be the Alaska quake too.

Here's a big surprise. NOT.

4.5 M in Oklahoma.

I'll get more info. and be back...

earthquake.usgs.gov...

Talk about concentration. Even an earthquake couldn't make his miss a field goal. Read the report. I'm glad we have our priorities straight.

college-football.si.com...

Omg. Guess what the name of the stadium was where the earthquake couldn't shake the field goal kicker.

Boone Pickens Stadium. Sorry. I'm not going to explain it. You'll have to have done you're research to get the joke.

I'm back, I found video. I'm giddy.

www.huffingtonpost.com...

Because no one was hurt. It's a sign though. I wonder if we'll take the hint.

Note that mag 8 is now over the statistical interval. Mag 5 quakes (converted) are holding steady at a rolling annual value of ~4200 which is the lowest in the past 13 years.
