No, not at all, just take a look around you. Yes there are really poor in this country but it is not near as bad as the left presents it.

And how did you come to this conclusion? From the happy sunshine people of the right?

No , the information is available, the poverty line for a family of 4 is around $19,000 last time i checked and 19,000 is not chump change in some parts of the world.

Well, we're not talking some parts of the world are we? We are talking this part of the world...the USA. And sorry to break your heart Ed, but $19,000 a year is not a hell of a lot in this country. If things were cheaper, or if jobs were easier to obtain other than in the food service industry (which are often minimum wage) then it would be a different story.

When the average company executive makes 400 times more than the average employee, there is a wage-class chasm there. When the richest nation in the world has the largest class gaps in the world, there is a problem. When minimum wage is $5.15, there is a problem...

uh 6.75 here in California, and yes the Irish are filthy rich but the middle class is where most fall. What do you want to do ? Lets take it all from the rich and give it all to the poor? Communism doesn't work.

Lets give them education and jobs, I agree but we cant do that with the government giving out so much money to garner votes. the work ethic of the American in general has went south and that needs to change.

Your argument was the same in the last century, so why do people still want to come to this land of opportunity then?
