Looks to me as if Kylie wasn't too sure what to do, curtsey, bow, shake her hand in the "manly type" of way with much virility etc...

So she just went for this type of handshake without breaking Lizzies hand...

Anyway, what was the queen doing at a Chippendale strip club in the first place??

Women of stature, that follow protocols, such as royalty tend to shake hands with just a gentle touch with their fingers.

Btw, ladies still curtesy when meeting royalty. Men merely bob their head respectfully.

......grumble grumble......uneducated

Absolutely not a Masonic handshake. Cute Kylie is just observing protocol;

I am not allowed to make short comments but that is definitley looks like it to me.

The thing is I have noticed my wife shake other ladies hands in the same manner and I know for sure she is not part of the masons or any other secret douche society.

Yours sincerely

I am sorry, got side tracked by the guys in the background.
wouldn't expect them in a pic with the queen!

Nah, I think it is just a handshake.

She (your majesty) has done masonic handshake before.

Maybe they are not in the same club and they have just found each other.

No, women are not allowed to be Masons in regular Masonry. An awkward handshake doesn't a Masonic grip make.

Well, even if it was some sort of Masonic handshake, does it really matter? I'm not really sure how it would be relevant. The Masons and related groups and organizations do a great deal of good work around the country, I'd be proud to have a Mason as a President in the US.

Since Freemasonry is a FRATERNITY, I will make a leap of logic here and say that no, the queen is not using a masonic grip here. (See, the Queen is a Lady, and therefore no equipped with the proper "stuff" to be in a fraternity.)

But I hear she is a reptile!

I am curious though, Network Dude...what about Eastern Star? I have not studied that organization, but do they have these types of handshakes?

Not that it matters to the OP, I am just curious.

To be honest, I have no idea. That is a good question. I will find out.

That isn't a Eastern Star "handshake" either, but please note that in England (to the best of my knowledge) that they don't allow the Eastern Star.

EDIT: Yes we do have modes of recognition in the Eastern Star.

lol.. funny thing is..

this what probably happened before the meeting/handshake happened.

Queens Rep: "you will meet a women, she is a singer, shake her hands, she is clean"

Queen: "Okay"

Queen probably has no idea who she is shaking hands with.

Such a shame really... i can just imagine if the queen had enough "culture" *wink wink pun pun* bopping around on her living room shag pile with Phil in front of her artificial coal gas fire (remember those?) and shaking her booty to "I should be so lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky..." whilst dreaming of snogging Jason Donavan in a passionate love sesh... just picture it... i am sure she is capable of having a good knees up (especially at Balmoral around this time of the year with all the other *ahem* lizards... pun again... *ahem* (forgot to mention "in their Kilts... (just to get the scots going *wink*))

But then again, taking into account the tragic death of the young lady who answered hers and Charlies telephone call at the maternity clinic, i guess right now that other things are on her mind. (probably going to get trolled for this...)

Much respect to all

Rodinus

The hand contact seems quite formal and correct.

But, is that an accidental fold in the rear of the Queen's dress, or a lizard's tail coming from her spine?
