Maybe Dec 21, 2012 might be realted to the Sun, instead of Earth.

Looking at the Mayan Calender,

shows in the center the Sun.

I think the Mayan's are pointing to the sun and not earth.
Sun is currently experiencing a very low sunspot cycle, when its actually due for solar max. Back in 2003 check this out

It is all made up.

The sun is actually in a longer than usual solar minimum.

That's not the "Mayan calendar." That's the Aztec sun stone. It has absolutely no connection to 2012 outside of people erroneously calling it the "Mayan calendar."

Yeah, and the Aztec calendar did not keep track of exact dates. If it ends in 12, it could be 2012, 3012, ect.

The Mayans were the ones to keep meticulous track of time. They never spoke about an apocalypse. It was all made up by opportunists.
