It really has, especially over the last 10 years! I drank a bunch of vodka and orange juice once when I was a kid and was ruined on both beverages for life.
BUT, I have been serving this stuff to you vodka lovers for over a decade and times have changed!

It used to be three shelves:

The bottom (well) shelf, bar vodka, like Jaquins or Smirnoff.

The Middle shelf, you had the Stoolies the Absolute, maybe a few others.

And the Top shelf…Gray Goose, Belvedere, Kettle One…

We only had few flavors like Mandarin, Lemon, and Raspberry, but that was about it FOREVER!

NOW vodka seems to be all the rage in these parts. You can get this stuff in just about any flavor you can think of. Whipped cream, Swedish fish, chocolate even breakfast cereal:

Every time I see a new flavor I come back to the same thought, which is the reason I decided to write this OP.

Vodka has been around for practically forever!! I read a few articles and it turns out I was right about that. The good Polish folks of the 1500’s were using it for medicinal purposes, then later, the fine Russians started drinking it. They still argue over who invented it.

Anyway I always think: They have been making vodka FOREVER and All of a Sudden it’s a big old flavor frenzy!!

Wonder what took so long?

Lastly, I will be trying to add a few photos to this OP, wish me luck and enjoy your VODKA!!

And Please, drink responsibly!!

Bottom shelf vodka... nearly every bad decision I have ever made began with it, included it, or ended up being severely complicated by it!

One of my favorite bands even wrote a song about it... I present you with Cheap Vodka - by Acid Bath.

Well, being a Vodka lady, you are going to LOVE this.

I obtained the last bottle from the duty free shop @ Changi (Singapore) Airport - it was literally running out the door!

Smirnoff with Gold Leaf...Cimmamon infused.

Now, I'm not a Vodka drinker per se' BUT this stuff is absolutely beautiful.

Goldshlagger. Mixed with Jaeger we used to call them "bungee shots" - because they went down and came right back up.

Yeah, I tend to end up rowdy and stupid when I get out and about on a Friday night.

The flavors they come up with now are incredible, I have a bottle of Birch Syrup flavored vodka from Alaska Distillery that is awesome
but some of the flavors should just be left to die. The strangest I have seen yet is smoked salmon flavored, and I refuse to try it, but I have heard it is interesting.

Belvedere Vodka is hands down the best Vodka out there, it's made from Rye. Ketel One is very good as well, made from wheat. It's all about how many times it's been distilled. That takes the sugar out of it. Anything below 4 is crap. Unless of course you like a big headache in the morning. Chirac is a good Vodka, made from grapes. ~$heopleNation

Word of warning......stay away from the peanut butter jelly flavor,

Worst thing I ever tasted and you can't get the taste out of your mouth.

Awful awful awful!

My friend owns a beverage and liquor store, so we have a lot of tastings of the new stuff on the block!

So far, I'll just stick with regular grey goose or citron.

Oops....I lied....love the grape also!

And I looooove this thread!
