Interest rapidly cooling on global warming

Certainly the alarmists, both within the scientific community and among environmentalists — the Al Gores and David Suzukis — are as vocal as ever in their predictions of imminent doom. They still insist that every study that calls into doubt their “settled science” is a plot by Big Oil and climate “deniers” to ignore reality.

But take, for instance, what is sometimes called the “Arctic refreeze.” It’s true that this summer more northern sea ice melted that at any time since the record low of 2007. But less well-publicized is the fact that since Oct. 1 there has been a reco

Someone needs to develop a site where you list all the info for and all the info against global warming. It would be nice to actually sort out the facts from the static.

If anyone knows of non bias sites carrying actual info and stats, please post them.

Interest rapidly cooling on global warming

Ignoring the realities or otherwise of the topic, I was interested to see if interest in the topic had cooled.
Google has a trends page where you can see how the number of searches for a particular keyword has changed over time.

Here, we have graphs for climate change and global warming.
Both peaked a few years ago.
Yes, interest in the topic is cooling.

It should be obvious to everyone that the one item that heats the planet is the Sun.

Only a little research will show that solar output and Earth temperature have a direct causal relationship.

It should also be obvious that man does make a slight difference. The global warming alarmists point to man's industrial age. For a very long time, thousands of years, man has been making global changes by cutting down forest areas to be replaced by farm land. It is the plant life that uses CO2 and provides oxygen to the animal life. It is a balance.

Vast areas of Europe, North and South America were once covered in huge forests. Every single year thunderstorms would cause massive fires on a scale that dwarfs our comprehension. These fires caused huge CO and CO2 emissions and yet Mother nature sees this as part of Her renewal cycle.

The carbon debate is simply a means to claw money from Mums and Dads, nothing more. The Earth is now on a cooling cycle due to the Suns reduced output.

I have to agree with you....I know I might get fired at for that but oh well. We are bearing witness to "climate change" right before our eyes...It has happened before and it will continue to happen after our species has managed to kill itself off.

There was a time there was temperate forests on Antarctica...and there was a time of "snowball earth"...

The large solar cycles are just being explored. The "Grand Maximum" and the "Maunder Minimum". These cycles are 100's of years long.

Regardless if the patterns are man made or natural, that does not mean you ignore them. No one has ever said a "natural" shift in climate was going to be pleasant.

The anthropogenic global climate change debate is completely meaningless. If true, by the time global climate change becomes confirmed, it is too late. It would simply be a signal that conditions are far too degraded to be addressed in any meaningful and effective manner.

Regardless of supposed scientific consensus on global climate change, there absolutely is scientific consensus regarding the following statement: every ecosystem on this planet is in severe decline and show no signs of improvement on any level. Ask any (honest) ecologist or biologist and you will get the same answer.

It is FACT that humans are systematically eradicating the biological systems on planet Earth, and are doing it at an ever increasing rate.

Your source eventually led me to this:

Global warming stopped 16 years ago

Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals Met Office report quietly released... and here is the chart to prove it
The Met Office is pro-warming, so this flat chart isn't from some climate change denier, it's from an organization which is a climate-change proponent!

So this is interesting because we have climate change proponents and climate change deniers both pointing at this same data, so I don't see how anyone can claim this data is biased. However even that source doesn't really deny man-made climate change, they have this to say:

So let’s be clear. Yes: global warming is real, and some of it at least has been caused by the CO2 emitted by fossil fuels. But the evidence is beginning to suggest that it may be happening much slower than the catastrophists have claimed – a conclusion with enormous policy implications.
So they say this is a 16 year pause in the uptrend, which may be the case, but it's a pretty long pause. If you look at the 16 years prior to this period, an uptrend was observed.

This means that the ‘plateau’ or ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996. Before that, temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years.
