Over 1,100 Chinese Officials Celebrate Holidays By Defecting Abroad

This is something you will not here about in the official Chinese press or the western Media, which is fed by it....

"According to the announcement, 714 of the nonreturning apparatchiks have been officially listed as “missing.” Missing is another word for defected and means these officials either did not return after their holiday breaks or could not be reached."

Now with the 18th Congress and the regime trying to fake stability, these kind of news are major. I also think they affect us all. China's economic power is such that understanding the undercurrents is really important for policy makers and laymen alike. but not many seem to try and deep deeper in the issues of that society and only look at surface level.

The government officials pack their pockets over there (with bribes etc) until they have enough money to get them and their family out of the country into one with different kinds of opportunities.

I wonder if this is just part of that...
