I've been reading about this situation in Syria for quite some time. It seems rather obvious that the U.S., who pretends to be at war against terrorism, is in fact the greatest purveyor of terrorism at the moment.

This didn't just happen overnight, it has been planned since 2007,

To reiterate, the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia had planned as far back as 2007 to specifically use sectarian extremists to overrun and overthrow Syria. This was revealed in a report published by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Seymour Hersh, titled “The Redirection.”

So these "NATO backed terrorists" were given the bombs by U.S.A directly to do that? Or they turned their back and used the weapons to destablize the region?

What claims are hard to follow?

The USA, UK and many others claim to be at war on Terror, yet blithly encourage the very people who they claim did 9/11, 7/7, Madrid, to perpetrate more terrorism in Syria!

We are at war, losing valuable people, costing fortunes every week and destabilising the entire region...for what exactly?

It would have been simpler to just have handed the 'terrorists' truck loads of cash and pointed them at Syria, Libya and Egypt in the first place.

Who are the terrorists again? Those that fire the gun or detonate the bomb...or those that support and encourage them to do it?

It's bloody outrageous.

The USA never and I mean never give weapons directly to rebels, terrorists or freedom fighters they supply them though and have done this kind of stuff for years.

The White house just uses people in proxy wars and have done since the end of WW2 maybe even before like a lot of nations, regardless though these rebels are no saints and I believe this is what the OP is getting at neither is Assad either. Who gets painted as the "freedom fighters" in this scenario though? and I also wonder why maybe because they are backed by western media?

Assad for all his worth though has never targetted certain people or tried to drag others into this conflict quite like those "freedom fighters" ahem "muslim brotherhood"

Just wait till Assad is gone, because these people will be doing it in earnest. Bet you anything it ain't Al'Qaeda but the muslim brotherhood instead, they're the ones running this little rebellion with U.S. funding. I also believe the ones who are being fed by our governments (UK here) will one day bite the ones who feed it, I see no good from the muslim brotherhood they have spread like a plaque and care for nothing but their cause.

As stubborn as Isreal and they move like the hordes of genghis khan, in other words ignorant and deadly that is the muslim brotherhood

To be honest the only reason the west is supporting some of the rebels, and no not this particular group, is because in the post Assad world they do not want them coming into to power. Same thing as happened in Balkans, the West did not really start moving until other groups were coming in backed by Iran. Have no doubt that once Assad is out or even before the Western backed rebels will move on the others.

The financial backing has continued under President Obama, even as his administration sought to rebuild relations with Assad. In January, the White House posted an ambassador to Damascus for the first time in six years.

The cables, provided by the anti-secrecy Web site WikiLeaks, show that U.S. Embassy officials in Damascus became worried in 2009 when they learned that Syrian intelligence agents were raising questions about U.S. programs. Got to stir the pot a bit via channels of mercs and black market, otherwise there wouldn't be much need for military action and arms expenditures that justifies defense spending. Having the "freedom fighters" occasionally do something useful is considered a side benefit, but having them come back to bite you doesn't seem unexpected either. The fact that putting troops in harms way circulates money among the big players is actually part of the plan.

If the pawns at the very bottom ever wake up enough to refuse playing such that peace somehow breaks out, that's when the whole MIC is going to break into a sweat.

So let me get this straight. We have been paranoid about terrorists detonating car bombs etc in the West yet when its happening in another country in the Middle East, we can happily support it because we want a boogeyman removed?
