Israel authorizes construction of 3,000 new settlements

rt.com

Israeli authorities will allow the construction of 3,000 new settlements in Jerusalem and the West Bank. The decision follows Thursday’s UN General Assembly vote to upgrade Palestinians’ diplomatic status to ‘non-member observer state’.
Celebrations within Palestine that the UN has implicitly recognized its right to statehood might be short-lived according to the latest Israeli media reports.
Apart from approving construction on 3,000 new housing units in the occupied territories, Israel’s “security cabinet,” a forum of nine top Israeli ministers lead by Prime Minister Benjamin

To all the Zionists out there: take your "Israel has the right to defend itself" argument and SHOVE IT. Articles like the one above should convince EVERYONE with a sense of objectivity that, since their inception, the Israeli's have ultimately been the aggressors in the region. Yesterday's vote is only proof that the world has had enough of Israel; it's actions, and it's rhetoric

P.S. For Zionists weary of RT's credibility, here is a Zionist source that'll make sense just for you!

Also here's another article about Israel's recent "defense" tactics, dated November 6th, 2012:
Israel advances plans for 1,213 new West Bank settlement homes

When a girl is a cheating whore, 139 of her friends can swear up and down that she isn't. Many acquaintances can keep silent on the matter. But the one person who knows for certain is the guy who was cheated on and he could give a rats behind what popular opinion of her is, she won't get a second chance.

Good for Israel- Damn the torpedoes- full steam ahead!

So you admit that the world now knows that Israel is a violent thief, and you excuse the theft of other people's land?

This act shows that the pathetic warmongering state of Israel has one intention - to steal everything it can from those around it, expanding and growing and destroying anything in their path.

The "defence" of Israel is a farce, it's an invention, created by the sick and twisted Zionist regime to excuse their theft. They are criminals, plain and simple.

One day I hope to see past Zionist leaders in court for their war crimes, and the fact that so many other nations now recognize Palestinian rights is a good sign that this one day might happen.

Israel cannot keep stealing land and occupying their neighbours then crying about it when Palestinians fight back.

STOP STEALING FROM PEOPLE AND THEY WON'T HAVE TO LAUNCH ANY ROCKETS!

I'm a pacifist, and while I hope Hamas doesn't retaliate (refusing to respond with violence would create even more public support around the world for being a NOBLE victim and more moral than Israel) I will not be surprised to see Israel being targeted again.

And out of the two, Israel f'ing deserves it.

I'm not a pacifist, and I hope the IDF finishes the job this time before it's too late. And of the two, the Palestinian terrorist pigs deserve it.

There are two sides involved in all of these issues, the failure to fully understand both is the kind of ignorance that makes it all possible.

its OK let them [Zionists] say what they want.
At this point comments made by such people only help expose the Israeli agenda for what it is. It's never been about peace for them

I support the legitimate country. How and when it was acquired is irrelevant. Of the two, Israel is recognized as the sovereign country and that gives them the right to build in their own country. It is not stealing- in fact, occupying is stealing.

How do you make peace with a people that do not want peace, except through only Israeli concessions, and ultimately to have Israel GONE! from the region?

There are groups on both sides of these issues that do NOT want peace, there are countries and majorities that are aligning against Israel. Israel is fighting for its existence in the region, the Palestinians are only wanting what they believe is already theirs. Israel, and Palestine are (combined) a very small place, there is no room for much growth on either side, and yet populations are growing.

No matter what your personal perspective is, or your bias, peace is unlikely, and unwanted by many on both sides, and that leaves the situation primed and ready to explode into violence again at any moment, and as long as it remains that way, it will eventually end.... Badly!

Since 9/11, the US military is occupying 7 additional countries over and above the 150+ it occupies already worldwide. What if the US wanted to become permanent in any of these countries? Is that right? Is it stealing? It is just as wrong as the Palestinian occupation.

It has nothing to do with Zionism ( thanks for the label-seenav. thought we were above that) it's about national sovereignty.

so....
apparently mr. israel believes that as the ink on the restraining order just issued against him by the judge has not dried yet
he thinks he can rush over to ms.palestine's house, "teach that b*tch a lesson before finishing her off" and get away with it because the order had not come into effect yet.

then again bullies rarely listen to reason and see appeasement as weakness
and so must be crushed with force, the only language brutes are able to understand

hopefully ms.palestine is in the process of hooking up with a real man

and P.S. regarding hamas' actions
hamas' attacks are false flags
so bibi can have his war, also why hamas uses Palestinians as human sheilds and illuminates why "the Palestinians "elected" hamas", and why hamas always attacks when any chance of peace appears

Hamas is a Creation of Mossad

Why would a country who is "fighting for its existance" inflame the situation even more by building settlements on land thats not theirs? it doesnt make sense.

and why would a country like Israel thats so concerned about its "existence " be so hell bent on preventing the Palistinians from having an "existance"? seems a bit hypocritical.

This move by Israel just reeks of childishness.

It makes sense to go on the offensive quickly before the enemy can establish roots and gain a foothold on the situation.

Yes as some say on here there are to sides to this problem, you have the Israeli side that plays within world rules, or you have the other side that breaks all world rules, most of earth people prefer the good, the bad are going to get sorted out maybe, but it's true there is always two sides, often people refuse to understand that part in lots of things today.

To say that Israel plays within world rules is a stretch of the imagination considering it has broken international law more than any country on earth..Its entire occupation of Palistinian land is in breach of world rules.....Its illegal under international law.So what "rules " would you be referring too?

Honestly I think the world would be better off if we burnt and forgot about the words in The Bible, The Torah and The Quran, and every other religious text out there. This is the only reason this is still going on, one group says it is holy and the other group thinks it's more holy to them. Ridiculous I say!!

So one apartment = one "settlement" now?

When you use the word "settlement" you get the idea that pioneers are heading out to the wilderness, like the "settlement" at Jamestown in Virginia by the British 3,000 miles away from London. When you read about israel building apartments, the word "settlement" is always used. In point of fact, these "settlements" are across the street. So you build an apartment house with 50 units, that's "50 authorized settlements."

What people don't get about Israel is that it is not like the United States, where you can for all of England, Scotland, and Wales into one western state. Distances are compressed. If someone built an apartment house on a vacant lot in the middle of Seattle, no one would even take notice, but of you do the exact same thing in Jerusalem, it's billed as "50 authorized settlements."
