The Left is no different, they used to do the exact same thing with Ron Paul and his election results. [...]

Really? Finger pointing? How is this even a matter of left/right-partisanship?

Serious media is supposed to be politically neutral and reliable!

You should be outraged your media is biased at all, especially if you're leaning to the right.
Instead your reply makes it sound like it's okay your media is biased.

Are we really still doing this, even on ATS. Arguing left - right issues like there is actually such a thing. We all know they are one in the same at the very top or at least we all should know by now. Even some people that I know, know better are doing it.

It must be because it's fun or something. I don't get it.

Here is one reason. They put people like this guy on to try to fool the American public on issues that are extremely important.

Joe Bastardi

Joe Bastardi is a meteorologist for WeatherBell Analytics, where he provides weather forecasts for energy companies and other corporate clients. He also serves as an advisor to the American Tradition Institute and a Fox News contributor. Although he has no climate expertise, Fox regularly turns to him to analyze climate research. Bastardi, who has called manmade global warming "an obvious fraud," has often been criticized by scientists for his "utter nonsense" on climate change.

Bastardi is not the only dubious source of climate misinformation on Fox News. Fox anchors and contributors regularly mock the threat of climate change and suggest that winter weather invalidates global temperature records. Rather than talking to actual climate scientists, the network turns to industry-funded climate denialists -- including CEI's Chris Horner, the Manhattan Institute's Robert Bryce, Climate Depot's Marc Morano and JunkScience.com's Steve Milloy -- to mislead its viewers on climate science. Fox Nation, a branch of FoxNews.com, regularly cites the British tabloid The Daily Mail and distorts climate research to declare that global warming isn't happening.

mediamatters.org...

These people push an agenda by there corperate masters and because some people still think they are actual news and not news entertainment they do not realize they can be lied to legaly on just about anything. They are one of the reasons the US is the last Civilized nation that still denies climate change because they represent guys like this one as experts.

Fox has done more harm to this nation than you can imagine while distracting from real problems and fear mongering on most non problems. They must have had a day of mourning when the government did away with the color code scale of how afraid people should be.

The network is nothing more than disgusting fear mongering hate spreading filth that pray on the week , misinformed, and elderly that still believe news holds morals.

FAUX News has been busted many of times, I'm surprised they are even on the air.

But what i'm even more surprised about are the few replys on here saying "other's do it to!!". Not that it's wrong to say that because it's the truth, but the tone is reminiscent of a little kid who gets in trouble for stealing candy or something and saying "well johnny did it to" as if that makes it less terrible. The point is it's wrong, period.

Are you saying Fox is part of a political wing? I consider it to be but they haven’t come out and said it yet they still call themselves unbiased news.

I guess from your post you consider fox a political mouth piece for certain side as well is that why you call it political baiting? If you are not admitting that then can you please elaborate on your reasoning

I wouldn't blame Fox as the only offender here . . . EVERYONE does this, in EVERY industry, EVERYWHERE. Data can be represented visually in ways that DRASTICALLY change the way it will be interpreted by their audiences. It's a pretty old trick.

Why the constant and ongoing demonization of Fox news?

I mean Geez, sure they may right leaning, but compared to the other 6 or 7 that are left leaning, are they really that much of a threat?
Is the goal of the left wing agenda total annihilation of anything that stands for conservative principles?
Are honest debates now that much of a hassle to deal with?

Obama won the election, so what gives?

Fox news deserves to be demonized, it's a horrible. When you say "the other side does it too" you are giving both a free pass. Just because fox is conservative and you are too (I assume) shouldn't be enough for you to give them a free pass for their antics. I say if you're a conservative you should demand your conservative representatives be held to a higher standard than what fox pushes.

Big deal.

Most ATS posts are copies of 'real' stuff released on You Tube.

You Tube !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, if it's on You Tuber it must be true !!!.

Wow that statement makes sense to someone. Whoever you were talking to I guess.

But out of curiosity which news clips were you referring to. Oh never mind you would first have to watch them.

Your sentence is just too confusing. Statement, question, ad hominem, who knows what you are trying to say or who you are saying it to.

Carry on.

You're a bit wrong actually.

Skewing graphics to create a false impression is lying. Once or twice, maybe a mistake, but endlessly.. it's a lie.

As for the rest of your response - I think you may have misread my post... nothing you're saying is contradicting what I'm saying... I think we're in agreement.

It's not technically lying. It's just not accurately displaying the truth.

You just have to love this poll. Not only are the available answers skewed but they cant even add.

In my experience generally when someone reverts to dirty little tricks like these it means they are hiding something.

Great thread.

The difference between Fox News and the other media outlets that you named is that Fox News is a wing of a political party.

Only Fox news donates millions to a political party and only Fox News organizes and promotes opposition political rallies.

They are the main source of the modern day conservative information bubble. A bubble that is devoid of facts and only accepts information that conforms to their narrative. Any facts that contradict their narrative is immediately dismissed by the delusional "liberal media" lie.

The first dictionary definition of "lying" is "not telling the truth".

These graphics do not tell the truth.

Another common definition is, " something intended or serving to convey a false impression"

They are lies.

YESSSS!!! I've never seen this brought up on ATS before but it's bugged me for AGES. Anyone who has lived both outside and inside the US notices it easily, how there is no left in the US anymore. You have far right, right, and center right. Even the conservative party in Canada is FAR to the left of the democrats in the US.

This is what makes republican hatred of Obama so hilarious....he has essentially done EXACTLY what Bush did....and everything they hate, Bush would've undoubtedly done too.....so it's like they are complaining about the D next to his name, nothing more...

Any real conservative would note that Bush was NOT a conservative but was at the very minimum a moderate.
