this is probably old news to some of you, but to those who dont buy the magazine, (computer active) they was talking about another virus!

"Email users have been warned about a new worm. Refoav is easy to identify because it arrives with an attachment called FOAVRE.EXE. After infecting a Pc, it displays a series of messages on-screen then sends itself to all the contacts in Outlook's Address Book"

As usual, dont open it, just delete it, the experts advices.

and, vzH: alas, it is not true that Unix, Linux are immune: Lion and Adore Worm spring to mind, and a very nasty one directed at Red Hat called "Ramen".
Much the same anti-V software exists as for Windows (Mac, too)
It just seems worst on Windows because it's so widely used, so an attack via Word, Outlook etc is probably more profitable to the nasty pieces of work who write these thing.

now i dont know much about other operating systems excluding mac os and windows, i wouldnt say imune to viruses but certainly windows viruses are likely to not even effect anything other than windows pcs..

so if your using a linux, unix, mac os computer your probably alot less likely to get a virus since 2/3 of pcs are probably windows..
