I'm sitting here at work, thinking how lucky I am to have my job and was also
thinking about the Hostess situation, when another thought entered my mind...

I said no, surely not... so I checked and ....

Yep...looks like its hitting full scale retardation now. I actually thought about purchasing tons of them up about a week ago just so I could post them online myself. -I missed out on the "greed."-

Oh well...this is the way things occur.

Will wait to see if the bids are for real. Any time there is a lot of media attention for ebay bids, it attracts a lot of people just placing bids to be part of the hubub. Then the auction ends and they never pay up because 'my kids got onto my computer and bid as a joke.' sort of thing.

Hmm... There's buy-it-now for 10 boxes @ $49.99.

I agree with zone tripper.

People are stupid.

Before 2009, Hostess was Interstate bakeries but Twinkies were still Twinkies.

After Hostess is liquidated some company will still make Twinkies.

Yep. It's the company that's closing, not the Twinkie sales. Some other company will switch up the recipe a little, change the name, and start selling them again. They make too much money to just go POOF! like that.

I have a whole bomb shelter full of them.

They never go bad...

Will have to sell them off and buy new ones once they get going again.

Dually noted: why Americans are OBESE!!!

I think their products are inferior (except wonder bread) I much prefer tasty cakes and maybe this will have tasty cake expanding beyond the East Hmmm??? Where they can buy up hostess factories and make tasty cakes in say Washington/California/Utah etc... mmmm Utopia!

They only last about a month or so before they start to go stale and a month after that its like rubber and the creme starts to disappear. They turn into Twinkie shaped rocks

The Twinkie is just a classic snack, If it disappears I will miss it. Not because tastes great but because it's just part of Americana like Coke.

Does the idea of about half pound of thin cut beef, pan cooked onions and peppers stuffed into a foot long roll and top with a mountain of melted cheese appeal to you? Its like on of my favorite foods of all time

The stupidity of collectability.

Someday, fifty years from now, somebody might spend a million dollars on a box of Twinkies.

Or not. Beanie Babies are piled in landfills everywhere.

I wonder how much a can of Pepsi Clear or Crystal Coke would go for now?

How about some of that liquid vomit Halo: Game Fuel?
