Goebbels' propaganda had called Arno Breker "The Michelangelo of the 20th Century." Of course, in truth he was a mere technician and his work lacked any spark of genius. The following is a simple excersise where you are to tell Michelangelo from Breker.

92% - I got #4 wrong.

In Breker's defense, his work is really great looking but the sculpures are more of a parody of themselves. It is as-if they were sculpted by Disney animators - they're overly dramatized/flamboyant.

87% Michelangelo did not not sculpt women they were either men with breasts or Amazons. It was the faces that led me wrong. But Breker's female form is so much more appealing!

I would guess that there were more than two choices in that test. So random guessing would give less than 50%. So your score here may be really no better.

I got 50%, although, in my defense, I came very close with the
ones I got wrong.

And Michelangelo's men look like fags, don't they?

I wouldn't say that David is one of my favorite sculptures and I am not sure where you are going with that comment...

Why do all of the breasts sculpted by Breker look like cheap implants?

And I'm German, so don't give me some "the biology of the German breast..." bullhockey.

There are two Davids in the quiz. And Bachus. So two out of three look like that. A constitutional majority.

You mean that your answers were not random because you recognized some of Michelangelos?

I got 2 wrong ... I was in two minds ... I thought they looked like Michelangelo but thought No ... His work is better quality than that ... I was wrong ... I guess even Michangelo had off days too

I did like some of Brekers ... I had never heard of him before ...

And which particular sculptures did he make on those off days?

a reply to: vernichter

Only my opinion but 11 and 7 for me do not have a wow factor
Or perhaps it is I who had an off day
