I used to frequently go to canada.... At one point the canadians searched me and ended up demanding the password for my laptop. They spent 4 hours locked in a small room with it. They claimed they were looking for kiddy porn but no ones that dumb. They couldntve watched all my porn that quick. They also went through blank cds.

Did they install a little sometin on my computer? Hmm

Haha
This made me laugh.

Question; What right did they have to search your laptop? Is that a normal mandatory check when crossing the border??

The feds do not need to have physical access to your laptop to snoop.

You used to go, they did spook you, didn´t they?

Mother to friend of mine was afraid feds are after her, she has bipolar disorder. So she took her bike and started her lifetime journey biking and hiding from feds.. as far as i know she is on that trip still.

I guess its better to buy new computer and get rid of all cds you have
but how can you be sure new computer is clean from surveillance technique....

Just a note...but anyone can get the type of software they use up there. They aren't sitting there randomly surfing your drive for 4 hours. I'm sure with the number of computers they violate and invade on a daily basis..they've seen it all a few times over by now.

However...the forensic data recovery and investigation programs DO take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Sounds like they're REAL serious about their checks. For that time, if that's what it was up to, it was not scanning just file names, types and meta data headers for your countless files all over the laptop....They were file scanning contents and byte level data to find disguised porn as well.

Not bad....and I must say..*IF* I thought they had ANY right to be doing this in the first place (which I absolutely don't) I'd have to say they were doing a very good job of it by the sounds of it.

@Dollukka

You find a computer person like me or any of the hundreds of Comp Science majors I attend college with....from colleges all over the nation..and find one YOU trust. Getting this junk OFF isn't hard, it's just time consuming and it DOES take considerable time spent learning where and how these little beasties burrow their way in where they aren't supposed to be or be found. It can all be cleaned.....but I wouldn't even joke about a commercial consumer product of any kind doing it automatically. They're designed very specifically NOT to.

Lol, i was wondering when someone would comment on that line
they do have the right to see whats coming through that border i suppose. Its randomish. They probably just check on the regulars a little and see whats going on. I crossed twice a week at the time

So basically you are saying that you put your child porn on another computer and that you have so much porn that they could not have possibly picked out all the kiddy porn? Get help now

As for a type of "backdoor"? I dont want to divuldge to much here...but a single patch cord or cords can be purchased that allows one to see everything in your hard drive. Any hard drive, any OS, or make.

Right now..no password.

This is not the same as retrieving deleted items. But, its available

They can recover deleted items also. That is why you have to purge the files several times to make them unrecoverable.

Why do you post on a conspiracy forum about backdoors in the Windows OS Microsoft employee?
