Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge Very Active Tonight

Since 6:14, there have been multiple earthquakes around the northern Mid-Atlantic ridge. I haven't seen it this active in awhile. I originally thought they started at 6:27 but I missed a couple earlier ones...

I think some of these are repeats reported from different places so I separated them based on what I can decipher.

I'm not the best at pulling up EQ data online, I'm just reporting what my iPhone app is telling me which reports from the USGS and others. Someone post some info if you can.

It's probably nothing, as it usually is, but I wanted to share.

Edit: I thought maybe some of the same magnitude quakes were repeat reports but they have all occurred at different locations so says USGS and EMSC and GMZ on my phone. I think some are the same reports that have slightly differing data, but I'm not sure.

Thanks, trace. Yeah, I never post anything about earthquakes really but this caught my attention due to the magnitude coupled with the frequency.

Awwwwww your welcome....and I don't normally either. There are way better ATS earthquake specialist then me...but, I thought the same as you...and they are kinda strong...so...let's just see what happens...s&f

Yeah, I'd be interested to get someone in here to help gather some info. I can't tell if some of these are the same quakes or different quakes. I think there is definitely some repeats, but from what I can tell there has been at least 5 or 6 different earthquakes.

I'm not an expert or nothing, but I've been checking USGS almost daily for about 4 years now. One observation I've noticed, is that since El Herro's underwater chambers started firing off with volcanic eruptions the Ridge has been quite active. I would only start to get worried when
6-7 magnitudes become the norm......5's are at least weekly here from what I have noticed...

Cool, thanks for the info macross. Keep your eye on the USGS, I've heard there's been some volcano activity heating up in certain areas of the globe. Mag 5 isn't very big yeah, I was just surprised to see so many at a time but as I stated some are repeat reports but still a good amount.

Hopefully everything stays calm and everyone stays safe.

I believe it was 4 seperate eq 3 5's and 1 four.

and since i check now one of the 5.5 was rev to a 5.7
